And he gets to play the Lions D for the first game. If the Lions manage to lose this game, it would be a damning start to Patricia's coaching career. I think the Lions will win, but it is the Lions, they find ways of losing these types of games.

People paying $2,000 for his cards....

Without going down the Watchcount rabbit hole, I see only one card on eBay of his that has gone for $2,000, with another 9 going for over $1,000. Can't speak to some of the other high picks, like Barkley or Baker, but I'd have to think they're similar.

I've bought an on card auto (Contenders Draft Picks) for under $100, and have only spent over $50 on a non-auto parallel (Donruss /14) once.

Most of the cards of his I've bought, about a dozen or so now - just because there's so much to choose from already, and you just *have* to be judicious with the plethora of Panini releases - have been less than $20.

Quite frankly, I'm amazed that his cards are so affordable, being a USC guy playing in NYC, but again, that's probably a result of Panini's overzealousness more than anything.

When doesn’t panini make waves with solid products?

Good luck to Darnold this year.

I’m one of the big USC guys on this board. Darnold is a gamer. He’s got the tools - arm strength, mobility and the “it” factor. His big problem last year was ball security. Sometimes he tried to do too much and ended up fumbling and getting balls knocked loose way too much for my taste. It got frustrating for sure. If he plays within himself he will be a really good NFL QB. He has the potential to be dazzling at times. That Rose Bowl vs Penn State was epic. Dude can handle the biggest of stages and make all the throws. Wish the Jets had more weapons around him.

SC quarterbacks have been mediocre to downright ugly in the league the last decade. Carson Palmer was legit and Cassel is ok. I think Cody Kessler has actually been ok for what his skill set is. But Sanchez, Barkley and Leinart flamed out hard. But everyone knew Barkley threw ducks and Leinart lacked the arm strength and mobility. Physically, Darnold ain’t Leinart. I hope he finds success for all you J-E-T-S fans.
