I bought a card for $100 and need to return it because of creases in the patch window.

The seller lives in New South Wales, Australia.

They are not interested in supplying any type of shipping label, or help with shipping costs.

The seller also says it has to be back by the 12th or they will not be issuing a refund and keeping the card.

Any suggestions?

Call eBay. Really. They’ll let you know.
I suspect the seller will get a rude awakening when the funds are removed from their account.

You call eBay and see what your options are.

You maybe SOL.. This is from a few years back, but basically what I see on this and a few others is that Ebay will not force an international seller to provide a return label. YOu will need to call Ebay and they may do a no fault where they pay the refund themselves allowing the seller to keep the money.

Yeah, I had to return a card to Japan last year for the same problem. It was like a $250 card or so. I believe I don't remember if I had to pay for my own label. I do think if you call eBay and complain that they will probably comp you the label. Ebay is very conscious about trying to make their platform a safe place for buyers, some might argue they lean to far towards this direction. Try to use that to your benefit here. Tell them the item is not as described and see what they say.

Bought an item from Japan and had the same issue a couple months ago. Ebay said the seller was not obligated to provide a label because it was international.

Ebay ended up just comping me the $100 out of their own pocket and let me keep the cards. Seller kept the money. Worked out for everyone in the end I guess...

But yeah, trying to return international items is a real hassle. Regardless of what happens, the seller cannot arbitrarily tell you that the item has to be back by a certain date or they'll deny the refund. That part is determined by ebay so you should call and ask.
