I turn off the option to sale through Ebay and Amazon because I do not want to be forced to accept 20% off. I'm just starting and I try to price each card with intent based on the same factors everyone probably does. In some cases I have room for offering 20% off, in some cases 30% and in some cases 10% or none.
To me it seems nonproductive to increase my price by 20% just so I'm covered if someone buys through one of the other services.
Looking to learn strategy from some more experienced sellers.
Thanks!

I have a fairly small port yet but I've done eBay/Amazon since day one. It stings a bit to take the 20% hit on things, but I'm still happier taking a 20% off sale than taking no sale.
To date, 27% of all my sales have come from eBay/Amazon (almost all eBay).

I guess also whether it was your card initially or one you purchased would come into play. It's the ones I buy on COMC that I don't want to have to mark up just to get into the right ballpark for the 20%. Cards I send in I would not mind as much.
I have bought a bunch of good cards this week that were on sale and would like to list them for a small profit but feel silly setting it a $20 card at $26 or $27 just to clear $21.

I've run into people that use two different accounts - one for submissions and one for flipping to avoid losing the 20% eBay fee on small flips like that.

Keep in mind that Ebay is the largest COMC buyer. If you are simply under cutting for the COMC market you are going to lose far more sales in the long run by not including Ebay, especially on high dollar items.

I don't sell; I buy.
If I sell, one day, I'll be where you're at.
What I'd be thinking is:
1) Find the strategy that works for you.
2) Do what you need to do to get rid of it; break even; or make a profit.
I realize that some sellers will pad the actual price (to include S&H) and then offer free S&H.
You know what happens to door mats that say "Welcome".
You're trying to run a business, not a charity.
Think of those "services" as tools to help you gain exposure and make money.
It's what I'd have to remind myself, some day.

IMO Ebay is an absolute must for an COMC seller. Ebay buyers will pay more than any COMC/Cart user for most cards which makes the 20% more palatable.

It is not.

I do very little selling on COMC. I increased my prices by 20% and put them on E-bay/amazon. 6 months later I have sold 1 card on Amazon and 3 cards on E-bay. I dropped all my prices by 20-25% and they started to sell.
I'm down to 1 card and they just got my next box 11/12/18 is when I can start pricing them. At this point I do not plan on putting then on E-bay/amazon.
That is just me.

I agree with this 100% and not just for the high dollar items though. I have sold many MANY cards for around $5 on ebay/amazon that people had on COMC only for around a $1. That is a huge percentage increase even with taking off the 20%!

It was discussed a while back and I think you can have up to three accounts with associated information.

There is nothing in the user agreement - it may be worthwhile to contact them to verify just to make sure. I'm just remembering it was talked about a while back and things may have changed.
