Biggest Luck Mailday yet!!!

Ran into a bit of extra cash recently and decided now was the time to splurge a little and pick up a couple Luck cards that I normally wouldn't be able to fit into my card budget. I've got a couple others that also came in today but I thought this card deserves its own post. Also have 2 more pretty big cards still on the way, so they'll all get their own mailday thread as well.

I'm right there with you. My budget is typically around $15-50 for individual cards and I'll occasionally splurge and drop $100 or so if I find the right card at the right time. I just happened to have a small bit of fortune pop up so I found myself with about $1,000 to spend on cards. Got this Contenders for $530 and another RPA /25 for around $280, then a handful of lower-end pickups as well.

Yep. Even now, in PSA 10 grade it sells for around that. I think the $530 I paid is about as low as they're ever going to be again. There were raw copies within the past month that have sold for $600, $612 and $679.

Finally the Indy collector actually invests in a player that has legit potential. Your pacer pickups are always good too see because I love basketball but this is like comparing a Reggie Miller to basically any other pacers player in existence.

Nice pick up, I hope Luck returns to the Luck of old because he was on pace to be one of the best all time and was always exciting to watch because you could never count him out.

I think he's getting back to that point, but it's going to take a good chunk of the season before he's fully back to his old self. The good news is that the o-line has been probably the best he's had in his career, and that's even with the anchor LT, Castonzo, still not playing.

I'm debating it. I'm not sure it would grade higher than a PSA 9 though due to the corners on the left side not being razor sharp. I have a 2012 Chrome Blue Refractor incoming that is a BGS 9 that I'm thinking about resubmitting. It's got a 10 centering and 9.5 edges but only 9's on corners and surface. If it were able to get a PSA 10 it basically doubles the value.
