Well, it wasn't great, but it wasn't bad either. It was one of the lowest attendance shows that has been at this show location. I still was able to hit my average sales for the show though so I wasn't complaining. Strange selling patterns though. I made most of my sales on my $1 box, 4/$1 Bengals, OSU players and $5-$7 Bengals jersey and autos. Usually sell a bunch from my cases and none of the cheaper stuff. Totally reversed. Here is what the people were looking for:

1. Topps Chrome Football....all box dealers sold out. Guy across from me was selling at $45 a box..wish I knew what I was going to sell and then I would have got some more. Best pull I saw out of them Brady Quinn auto (not from the $45 a box dealer either).

2. AG was selling strong. Set collectors were going crazy

3. 07-08 Topps Basketball boxes(dealers sold out)

4. Calvin Johnson rookies and autos

5. LT rookies and autos

6. Adrian Peterson rookies and autos

7. Drew Stanton

8. Brady Quinn

9. Topps Chrome singles Mostly refractors football and baseball

10. Matt Schuab rookies and autos

Not Hot

1. Basketball, basketball, basketball.....Not even the new singles were selling.

2. Last years rookies in football...everyone had them, nobody was asking for them and if they did, they wanted them for like 20% book (autos base rookies, all).

J, sorry, no Fitz cards worth buying. All that I found were a bunch of cheap jersey cards that were way overpriced.

Magic,
Where are you at in Ohio?
I am in Urbana and got my degree from Wright State. I've been to the Nutter Center show a million times.
I always found the crowd to be in direct correlation to the weather, i.e. Nice weather= smaller crowd.
I haven't been there in over a year because I do mostly vintage and it was always a crap shoot as to whether there would be anything to buy.
If you say the vintage dealers are back I'll try it again.
Ever hit the Vets show in Columbus?? Always a great show.

I live in the Lima area. This show is still a crap shoot for the vintage collector. There are a couple buyers that spend good money on vintage stuff that are there every month, but not a lot of dealers that sell (there was only like 5-6 dealers with vintage stuff at this show). I keep all of my older stuff so I only get to sell them Legends autos and memoribilia stuff out of the new product.
As for the Vet, I have never been. Have heard that it is really good, but I hate to travel more than 1-2 hours for a show so I have never set up.

The other show that I set up at is the Piqua Mall show. There are usually quite a few vintage dealers there. Not sure how many will be there in October, but I know there was at least half the tables in Feb that only carried vintage cards and memoribilia
