Question about retail box

So i went to my LCS and he recently found a box of gems of the game retail box with 20 packs. He has it available for 90.00. Box came out in 2008. Wondering if anyone had any luck with these. $90?! Unless there was something special about that specific product, I say NO WAY. Every re-pack box I have ever bough has been junk.

I like busting the variety pack boxes. I enjoy seeing what all there is and the mystery of not knowing what may lay inside the packs. I have pulled some killer cards from these back in the day.

They normally have a handful of decent packs and the rest is cheapo retail.

I think the price is a little bit insane. Maybe $40 at best in my opinion. For some reason I think they were only about $20 new $30 at most. I could be wrong on that.

No way for that price. You will get 90% pure crap.
I think original retail (in 2008) was closer to $20.

Yea i expect most would be crap. But in the it comes to 4.50 per pack.

A lot of 1990 & 1991 Fleer stuff, but even worse-Classics,Press Pass,Wild Card,College,etc.

Actually those were kinda fun. Can't remember all the really bad ones they put in boxes like this. In football it would be 90 Pro Set & the like.
