just got my case in. i love the hits and a the stuff like impeccable numbers but not sure i can bust these. checklist a bit lengthy.

I think the more releases the bigger the risk especially when not NT or Immaculate. Good luck with selling or breaking. No Kukoc so no thanks.

Some of the Impeccable cards look cool, but I'm not sure I have a real appetite for them at the prices I think they are going to command. The sheer number of 17-18 basketball releases is giving me a bit of a headache. And we still have Immaculate and Flawless to go? At his point, it might be better to wait until 18-19 Prizm.

I used to really track new stuff but Panini has stopped putting Byron in every set but that’s okay—still would like to see Byron in this one.

Nice! Looking forward to seeing the design on some of these. I like how the, Stats/Jersey #/Draft Pick aren’t paralleled. Too bad the Victory autos are. I don’t see why every card needs multiple parallels.

I'm with you on that. Very cool to have standalone numbered inserts that aren't gold/silver/platinum/whatever.

With Immac and Flawless still left, I’m concerned Panini is out of Towns swatches. He’s actually starting to sign less than guys like AD and Giannis. Good or bad? I like options as a collector.

Better chance than most to hit one of the jersey numbered autos. Too bad they didn't get Jae Crowder to sign 99 of them!

Yeah true, slotting KAT in the draft pick number would've been cool. Maybe they figured they had too many #1s already? You're probably right about being out of KAT patches with that in mind.

Not sure if anyone is clamoring for those 9 Andre Drummond autos though... yikes.

Nice Markannen, congrats, but Im sorry, I just got officially done with 2017-18 Basketball releases. The cards look nice but holy crap it feels like another set every 2 weeks. Somebody please give Panini a Baseball license so they can chill out on the basketball! It must be hell for the dealers that have to buy everything to get the products people already want. YIKES

I just witnessed a holy roller box in a break. 3 patch autos plus a Mitchell jersey auto. One of the patch autos was a 1/1 Grant Hill old school Nike patch. Lettering and swoosh.

I guess it all depends on preference as they don’t look alike at all, but I think this is the best looking high end product Panini makes.

Despite being high end, these are not hand packed and yet, the best hit is usually the last one. You can tell the vet checklist is a bit short in places, but the rookie class makes up for it this particular time. I saw Jarrett Allen signed again after a 2 product sebatical.

Just opened my lone box from the Panini site. Didn't get the full benefit of MSRP due to sales tax, but I'll live. Best card was the last hit, a Tatum Rookie Auto /99. Could have been worse. My first JT live sig pulled. Got a redemption from Dominion still sulking, but this will do. I will say after witnessing many breaks, most cases have a Tatum or Mitchell in them. Reminds me of 15/16 Noir when Towns/Porzingis/Booker was nearly every case back then.

I did a quick google search and saw that same one come up. Just an absolutely gorgeous card. Nice bold auto, image from a championship winning game, the score of the game on the card. I’d love to grab one of the /10 versions of this card at some point, but I’m not willing to gamble on trying to get it out of a break.

One of the /5 curry All-Star appearance cards sold yesterday. Nice card, but it doesn’t really do it for me since that number will continue to go up. I think cards like that are cooler for Kobe with the 18 since he won’t be showing up on the floor for any more AS games.

I don’t. It’s weird... some products seem to carry more weight simply just because. The staying power of NT/Flawless/Immaculate and then the intrigue of the stuff like Opulence/Eminence seem to be what get high end collectors to throw big $$$ around. Makes it better for me since the stuff I like is more affordable, but less of it gets busted. There’s a Curry /13 for the three pointers record in 2016-17 Impeccable. One sat on eBay at $5k (LOL), and I haven’t seen another. Would love to have that card, but that’s an absurd price IMO. There are only so many $500 products that can be busted in a given year. I’m fine with the saturation and love having options, but it’s a bummer that breakers aren’t able to do the hard part for me with a new high end product out every other week.

Regular autos are going down but the sick booklets and patch autos are still doing well.

I've already moved on from Impeccable.

I checked the breakers though, they are filling, plat already filled 22 of them!:eek:
