Does anyone know when is the deadline for MJs exclusive contract with upperdeck? When can we expect to see panini MJ nba cards? How will the value of previous MJ cards hold up if panini starts releasing official mj cards?

until UD goes bankrupt, it'll be forever. he's a part owner.

Lebron's is until he doesnt wanna be riding/hanging with MJ anymore, basically his is open-ended as well as Simmon's. The open-ended is the result of UD Memorabilia Brand and Jordan being so strong that Simmons and LeBron can piggyback off that.

I thought that LeBron was $1 million per year renewable by UD in perpetuity.

Had heard the same and was corrected with it is a similar price with Jordan’s percentage for memorabilia and LeBron can term it when he wants from someone at UD

I believe it's a $1 million as well. And i remember that UD makes roughly $2 Million a year on Lebron Merch. So as long as that number stays up there he'll probably remain exclusive. Panini has absolutely no incentive to pay that kind of number when Lebron is still playing as they can release all kinds of non auto stuff.
That said Lebron has also been signing less for upper deck over the last few years. So i wonder if the terms of the contract have changed.

My thought as well, especially the latter part about infinite renewal.
I read somewhere that when LeBron first joined UD, the deal was for *only* 5 years. Of course, LeBron stayed longer than that (and is still with UD now). If there is any extension in place, one would think that UD would have touted about it. The lack of announcement about extending the stay makes me think that LeBron's initial deal already includes the built-in renewal at the first place.
With that said, I am curious why UD still needs to announce the Jordan extension a few years ago, when he has already been a part-owner for over 10 years and is unlikely to leave anyway.

very unfortunate; I always wanted a LeBron auto in a Heat jersey, but I doubt itll ever happen at this point.
