As someone from the Philly area (right near St. Joe's), I know of nothing anywhere nearby. Media is a good 30-40 min...haven't been there. Used to go to one in Conshohocken called Philly Sports Card Connection, but that closed down a couple years ago. Nothing left to fill the void.

Yeah. It's crazy philly is a huge city you would expect there to be one here. There's a couple comic book stores that carry small amounts ofproduct. I have been searching endlessly for stores that are focused MAINLY on sports cards. There are a couple near Willow Grove.

I grew up around that area and all the places from when I was younger have been long gone. There is a place in lindenwold, Mondae's collectibles, I went in there once, prices were sky high.

Over $12,000 worth of cards were stolen from me at the Valley Forge show. He ended up with the cards and could not explan how he got them. He was convicted of receiving stolen merchandies and using a computer for an unlawful purpose. THe theft had to be thrown out because there were no witnesses who actually saw hin take the cards...

Yeah the Willow Grove/Hatboro/Horsham area is really the only place around here where I've found hobby shops. There was a little store in Willow Grove called "The Baseball Card Man" or something to that effect..guy was super nice, had really fair/good prices, think he may have gone out of business though. There's also the head store of gcxonline.com- Sports Card Playground or something- they have tons and tons of wax, the prices are ok, not terrible. The other little places (ones called BJ's- definitely searches his packs), I wouldn't bother with.

There are a few in South Jersey - Mondae's in Lindenwold was mentioned, there's Conte's Card Castle in Haddonfield (small store), and Tem Dee's in Turnersville. That's all I can think of off the top of my head, other than BC Sports in the Deptford Mall.

I'm out in the Phoenixville area. There used to be a store in Downingtown but I believe it's closed. It seems fairly dry in this area as well and I don't know of any in the immediate Chester/Montgomery county area other than the could that have been mentioned. Stinks!

GREAT... I'm so happy to hear that. Gary's a super good guy. Has the best prices in the area on wax (although a pretty limited selection...at least the last time I was there). Really the only hobby shop I would consider going to...I would call in advance if you're looking for something specific.

There is 4 in the willow grove area.

The Baseball Man (as stated above)
Never been there, might stop by to see what it's like.

BJ's Sportscards (Hatboro)
He is a direct dealer and gets several cases from Topps, Panini, Upper Deck.

Knuckleball Sportscards (Horsham)
Was good friends with the owner who died about a year ago from complications of diabetes. He had the store for 20 some years. Now his friend runs it. He seems to be doing well with it, as it is always packed when I go in. Small place, but efficient

Sportscard Playground (Horsham)
Not really a place I recommend. I went their once and the owner (Heidi) thought I snuck a Beckett under my jacket. She stopped me at the door and asked me to open my coat. When she saw nothing I said, "this is the last time you'll see me here"

Have been thinking of opening up my own place in the Glenside area.

JandJ is prolly a little too far from me...considering gas prices, and everything. I was always wondering about sportscard playground..but we shall see.someone over here told me not go to bj's..fears of pack searching. I'll have to look into KnuckleBall and the baseball man.
