Some people won't care about this....
Others will be salty about this.....
Some will be pumped for LeBron....
and others will take it as a way to remember the greatness of Wilt....
but at half time of tonight game, LeBron is 22 points behind Wilt for 5th all time in scoring.
He probably won't get it tonight, but it'll happen either tonight or Saturday.
I know it's a great achievement I want to witness happen live.

Not bad for someone that can’t shoot and has limited offensive skill (gems of blowout). Well done bron bron.
Great accomplishment, I Didn't know Dirk was right behind him with 31,187 only 232 to pass wilt also

Dirk is such a slept on beast. It's sad, really.
Looks like Bron will most likely get to number 1 on the list, barring injury. He could easily play until he's 40. Even at a modest 20ppg, he'll surpass it.
MJ is next on the list....

If it wasn’t for his son, I wouldn’t think he plays that long. I definitely see him signing with whoever drafts bronny. Gonna be fun seeing Lebron dropping dimes to his son.

Lol just the thought of him actually playing with his son is ridiculous/hilarious. The perks of getting in the league fresh out of high school and having children early.

And it's very possible that KD comes in right behind and passes everyone as well.
KD is one of the greatest scorers this game has seen.

Won't happen....
KD's missed too many games and started a year later than LeBron.
The fact that LeBron has outscored Durant 4 of the last 5 seasons despite being 4 years older says a lot.

That's what I was thinking. In fact, I think every thread in every section should be just lebron threads and the only people allowed on this site have to promise to create a new lebron thread at least once a day, promise to have a statue of lebron in their home (and of course bow to it at least 3 times a day), and also promise to love, defend, and honor lebron over any family member for all eternity.
Then, and only then, will the world really be in a good place.

What is the craziest thing to think about is when Lebron eventually retires - at a minimum he will top 5 all time in points, top 50 in rebounds, top 10 in assists, top 15 in steals, and oh top 5 in turnovers.

They don’t understand
Karl and Kobe passed MJ in totals and no one really cares
But they want it to mean something
And they don’t want it to be Lebron’s longevity even though that in itself is a great thing.

I know it. Lebron's biggest accomplishment when he is done playing will be far and away his longevity and being able to avoid any injury in this many years. I will never understand how saying someone is a top 5-8 player ever is considered hating.

Sounds logical. Sorry Lebron threatens your Jordan idol. No need to make up facts though, lol.

No one cared? I don't remember that.
People are probably impressed with Lebron's accomplishment because he has done this while also leading his team in assists every single year. Some people think of Lebron as more of a creator/pass first player. But he is one of the all-time leading scorers too? Talk about luck!!!

His average being top 5 while being a pass first guy is more impressive to me than scoring totals. I think his mark as an all around player is 30,000-10,000-10,000 more than being number one al time in points.
I’m not looking to trigger anyone
But the guy has been the best scorer in the league once I think so to act like he’s the greatest scorer ever if he ends up number 1 in totals is laughable to me.

One of the most amazing things is his ability to consistently play at the highest level consistently since his rookie season, for 16 seasons and counting. Just amazing how he’s maintained this level for so long. Doubt we’ll see another player do it.

Agreed
44-10-9 in year 16, no injuries in all that time
It’s unique

All time totals don’t seem to matter at all. If they did couple Kareem’s with his MVPs and Rings and tell me Lebron is the clear #2 or goat with a straight face.
If he is your guy enjoy the accomplishment and the fact he still is playing at such a high level with no signs of slowing down and quit trying to ruffle feather of MJ fans who have their guy lol.
He will easily pass Mike on the list. He’s already played longer. Not everything has to be versus MJ.

Knew it was just a matter of time before you two showed up with your brands of piss and vinegar.
If you don't like it, just ignore the thread.
Nothing in the rules of the boards say that we can't celebrate accomplishments and career achievements while at the same time reflecting on one of the legends of the game (Wilt).

Just like I know it’s only a matter of time before you make another thread slurping Lebron and then predicting other people may not think just like you do and oh lord what a travesty that is.
If you don’t like varying opinions I’d say you shouldn’t be posting your love fest on a public discussion. I’m a member and I’ll show up and talk about whatever the f I want as long as they allow me to.
Thank you
And the fact that you would even mutter the idea that this thread was created to celebrate Wilt has me giggling like a school girl so thanks again.

Heh, the thread was literally created to celebrate someone. Fans of the player come to these threads to share in the celebration and see the joy that others have gotten from witnessing the player. You are literally posting to try and tear down the celebration. You see nothing _______ about this? Are you familiar with the word "troll" or perhaps "party pooper?"
It's an open forum so you are welcome to troll the threads that upset you. Just don't get too worked up when we ram it down your throat.

Thanks Dad for the permission
It makes me laugh more than anything else. I don’t dislike Lebron anywhere close to as much as his blowout fans.
You’re the newest member of the club but it’s been going on for awhile so dont feel special.
You guys should call yourself the “Little Windhorsts” and follow him to whatever team thread he’s a part of this season.
I actually said what I thought was great about him too but I guess that’s not as grabby of a headline for you to latch on to and cry about.

IT'S SCARY to think of Wilt's numbers if he could have jumped from high school to the Pro's like James. Wilt score 13K points over his 1st 4 years starting at 23.
James will not break down physically like Wilt did though

wilt's version of swiping left or right was actually moving the women to the left or right that he wanted to "spend time with" that night.
