About a week ago i won an Andre Ethier Bowman Heritage RC. yesterday i asked the seller if he shipped it yet because it was 4days after the estimated date, i know its estimated, so he said he shipped it and i should get in the next day or so and i was like great :)! well i got it today it was a pretty big bubble envelope filled with cards. i was wondering what did i buy since i usually stick to buying one or two cards per transaction for my PC. well i opened saw the ethier rookie than in back of it this giant wad of 1988 Topps cards with 2 golf cards in toploaders on each end taped together to hold the 88' topps cards together. That whole bundle of cards excluding the Ethier was also wrapped in a few paper towels. Its a nice gesture but i already have a completed 1988 Topps set. it was nice of the seller though to include like 100 88topps cards even if he was just trying to get rid of them. maybe ill stick them as a whole lot on ebay or something or if anyone here is interested in 1988 topps let me know. just a little story lol felt sharing let me know what ya think :)!

We have to pay for our garbage delivery in Massachusetts. So the USPS might be the cheaper option.

Unless your Garbage man charges $0.17 per ounce, it's kind of wasting money.

Package all those cards up into team lots and give them to Shriners Hospital or other Children's Hospitals. Kids love to get them, trade them, keeps their minds of other things going on. Throw a few Jeters, Pujols, or Ichiro's on top and the kids think they hit the mother load. Baseball cards got me through a week at Shriner's 20+ years ago. Believe me, kids love 'em.

Donate all mine to the local Boys and Girls club. Priceless to see the look on the kids' face when they see all of them.

Why does everyone think they are junk? I can easily see this as being in a similar boat where Topps dumped 100s of cases of product into the ocean. I think the success in the hobby comes from selling $0.05 cards for a profit.

I throw them in the sets I send to people so the cards are more secure. The sets are heavy so I use flat rates which does not affect the amount they charge and the cards are packed securely. Great way and people get cards they may like. Win win.

I was already doin it.

Me too. I tell people that there are a few free cards in the sets and I go out of my way to be sure there are a few HOFers in there too. Cleaned out several boxes of 86-89 sportsflix that way. I kept a few players Ripken, Ryan, etc - but the rest went out.

Most people never mention it, but a few do and they are really pleased to get a Winfield or Puckett, etc. If they buy a certain team - I make sure to get a few of them in there too.

Makes room for me, cards are more secure, no extra cost... win-win.
