2 case HIT DRAFT break of 2011 Topps Series 1 Baseball (1 Jumbo and 1 Hobby case)

This will be a hit draft with some unique rules. Just like any other hit draft, post-random slot #1 gets 1st pick of the lot, #2 gets 2nd and so on. However, some of the hit slots will be determined post-break and some will be determined pre-break. For example, if you have pick #1 and choose a auto/relic slot, you will get FIRST pick of all the autos+relics pulled in both cases. If you have pick #10 and choose 1 box of base parallels you must choose which box you want these from BEFORE THE BREAK. Autos/Relics/Glove leather will be determined post-break, while sets, wrapper redemption and base parallels+inserts will be determined pre-break.

I will be completing as many sets as allowed by Topps' collation. Obviously, those who draft sets early will have a higher chance of getting complete sets than those who pick sets later as they get priority. If complete sets cannot be made those draft spots will get partial sets + doubles to make-up for missing cards (all base set/partial set spots will receive 330cards).

Expected amount for each insert set:

60TH ANNIVERSARY DIAMOND CARD GIVEAWAY - Every Code Card is a Winner! - 6 per Hobby Box; 1 per Jumbo Pack!
(132 expected)

Diamond Duos (30 subjects/15 cards) - 1:4 Packs; 1 per Jumbo Pack (168 total expected) 11
Reproduction Cards (30) - 1:8 Packs; 1:2 Jumbo Packs! (84 expected) 2
History of Topps (10) - 1:18 Packs; 1:4 Jumbo Packs! (39 expected) 3
60 Years of Topps: The Lost Cards (10) - 1:12 Packs; 1:2 Jumbo Packs! (66 expected) 6
60 Years of Topps (59) - 1:3 Packs; 1 per Jumbo Pack! (204 expected, w/ 18 orig backs) 3
Kimball Champions (50) - 1:4 Packs; 1 per Jumbo Pack (168 expected) 3
TICKET TO TOPPSTOWN.COM CARDS (50 subjects) - 1 per Pack; 1 per Jumbo Pack!(492 expected) 9
Insert Cards - 50 legends and current stars. - 1:4 packs; 1 per Jumbo Pack! (168 expected) 3

Further explanation of this break

-After all slots are paid, all 110 names on the list will be randomed by random.org to determine draft order.
-#1 will get 1st pick of all DRAFTABLE spots, #2 will get 2nd and so on.

With the Pre-break draft spots you know what you are getting before hand and the completeness of each set is only limited by collation (If you pick complete set #1 you will receive a complete 330-card set of base, if you pick complete set #20 you will likely only receive a partially complete set + extras but will still get 330 cards).

With the post-break draft spots you do not know what you are getting beforehand, only the order of which you will be allowed to pick from the hits. If you pick auto/relic slot #1 you get 1st pick of all autos/relics after both cases have been broken and will likely have some great cards to choose from, if you have pick #29 you won't have much to choose from and will probably end up with a no-name auto :p.

This was written a while ago but was blocked by the new rules and just got accepted so theres a few things I need to update and change. Please feel free to sign-up and I will make sure all spots have some value/math works out.

I will work out some of the kinks when I get back home at around 5PST, slot prices will likely remain unchanged regardless of what I do (may change $1 or 2 at the MOST).

Sorry for jumping the gun here before you've had a chance to make your updates, but I just wanted to point out that it looks like you're missing inserts, like Kimball.

Also, I guess this is a question for those who've busted boxes. Don't the glove leather cards count as one of the relic hits? Like, for example, since a jumbo box advertises 1 auto and 2 relics per, isn't one of the relic hits a glove leather? That's how the sell sheet reads anyway. Wouldn't there then be 30 total auto/relic slots in this break, not 30 + 7?

ahh good point. Thanks!

I'm still figuring out how I should go about combining the inserts, I guess I'll need to change up the hits as well.

Looking at break vids I may end up changing this to 2 jumbo box breaks instead of 1jumbo+1hobby. This may also help with combining some of the inserts and opening up more hit spots. I'll mull it over and once again I'll try to maintain slot #s and prices for those signing up.

I want to help out, cause I want to join this break...

-I think you're missing the Topps 60 inserts.

-Also, unless my math is wrong, I think you're calculating total expected inserts based on 24 packs in a hobby box, instead of 36. For example, you have:

Diamond Duos (30 subjects/15 cards) - 1:4 Packs; 1 per Jumbo Pack (132 total expected)

With 36 packs in a hobby box, you should expect 9 of these per box, 108 per case. Added to the expected 60 from a jumbo case, you get 168 total.

If I'm right, that means you're gonna be adding a lot more slots. Maybe combine certain insert slots?

prob gonna try to do another break. I wanted to do this one when it first came out so it would be more fun for me and the participants haha and there would be more value in the sets/inserts. The group break fiasco/postponement kinda messed up that plan. Maybe some five-star/NT? Although I like doing baseball the most...maybe TTT? meh.
