2011 Topps jumbo/hobby box break(i'm pumped!)

just broke a jumbo and a hobby box of 2011 series one and the hobby wasnt much to speak about....relic was a Gary Carter jersey


however, the jumbo is by far my best box in the year and a half i have started collecting seriously

1st hit was ok with an ARod game used (solid color gray)
2nd hit was meh with a Billy Butler leather card

my bonus in the box was a Jered Weaver platinum BORDER One of One!!!!



i know that isnt a great 1/1 but its still my first ever pulled from a pack

and apparently Topps had some left over inventory from last years Million Card Giveaway because my auto was .......



the Strasburg 661 on card auto!!!!!!!!!!


#'d 76/299. i will have scans up later, but from what i can tell, the Strasburg would grade super well, looks like great centering...auto is great and corners are awesome...the back is centered well too. Im not an expert on grading by any means but that seems like what the criteria would be

Nice break, I figured they would do that with the Strasburg's after they stop selling. I wouldn't doubt if some of the 661's with no auto also made it into the packs. Will probably make the price on them drop even more then they did. I was hoping they'd not be released outside of the MCG site because once you couldn't redeem to get them anymore the price would either stay where it is at or go up. Ahh well, I'm betting any diamond cuts that aren't redeemed this year online will be in packs next year. Still can't beat the pull. nice nice!
