Why is NT released so late in the year?

I was looking for release date for this year's NT and couldn't find it. I looked at last year, and it came out on 10/17. October. Next year's season will be almost starting then. Next year's Prizm will be coming out shortly thereafter. Why is NT so late?

NT I believe is 4/18. But they release it late since it’s expensive and panini doesn’t want people spending their money on it early, want it their lower products sold first

I would say the two main reasons revolve around product spacing and getting athletes to sign on card.

My bad, no idea what I was looking at then. I'm glad to hear it'll be sooner than later, though! I hope the CL is released soon.

We have a rookie in the house. NT has the last three years been released anywhere from mid April - early May.

Yeah history tells us at a minimum there is going to be one 2 week delay
