Multifactor authentication (MFA) is a security system that requires more than one method of authentication from independent categories of credentials to verify the user's identity for a login or other transaction.
Many users have Hundreds of thousand of dollars of inventory on COMC. In order to help protect the inventory and the store credit in a COMC users account, Multifactor Authentication should be enforced on accounts.
Passwords alone are hurting us as customers. It is vitally important to have a robust multi-factor authentication (MFA) solution for to protect our assets. All US based banks use MFA due to regulatory reasons. The regulation exists for a reason. Passwords are easy to hack/ guess.
I asked this question two years ago when I first started selling items on COMC. It has left me to only send them my cheaper items and limit the scope of my inventory. A robust Information Security Program is a must for any Internet based company. I hope this gets people talking about how we can as a community help COMC protect our assets.
Thanks you for your time.
