Giannis Rookie White Whale landed! Red Knight!

I had been looking forever! I finally landed a Red Knight! My friend found it on Facebook and helped get it here with the others. I know of only one other I've ever seen and I missed it. Here is a nice trio- the Gold and the Red being the most elusive!

These reds just do not show up. I checked PWCC in all formats I could think of and only have a handful of sales. They just aren't out there. I own the Kobe Red, and a handful of Golds of the superstars.

His friend found it on facebook he wrote- so most likely same person esp if card is that rare

I paid 750, which was a pretty fair price. I think it is an 8.5 at best. But still might encapsulate it.

Yes Retail only, and hard to pull at that. I remember getting only 1 common from a 12 pack rack box.

He isn't necessarily wrong to long time player collectors(longer than 5 years) A white whale is something you chase, yearn for for years. My white whale got speared last year after 15 years of waiting. Giannis is a star, eventually more will surface. I collect a never was and was giddy when i finally got my whale because I had only seen 1 copy in 15 years.

Recently I was going through some of the thousands of basketball stars and rookies I had looking for some things to send in to COMC. I thought I had one so I decided to check. No, it is not a red knight Giannis, but the next best thing, LeBron. :flex: I have no idea where I got it or how long I have had it. I only opened a few packs of retail a few years back when they had some in mixed pack boxes. I either pulled it there or found it in someone's dollar box. :eek:
