Blog made yesterday? That's not much forewarning. Doesn't apply to every state, yet.

Honestly I can't finger point at COMC on this one. This is just a new reality that we are all subject to. I have no doubt they had to write a bunch of code to satisfy all these requirements. Likely a royal....pain...

I never come to this subforum, but I came here tonight and searched specifically for this thread just to say: This sucks a huge ton. Man this is a stupid bummer. Thanks for listening, hope you agree.

It would have been nice to get maybe a week's notice, I would have loaded up on store credit to save myself 6.5% if that were the case. Especially with tax return season hitting, COMC cost themselves money.

I can see how this is annoying, but I don't see how COMC could do anything other than issue a warning more in advance.

And really, it doesn't have too much impact unless you're only a buyer, because you're not getting taxed when your card sells. So you still get the same store credit there. (I haven't actually sent money to COMC other than when I first signed up)

I have never sent a dime to COMC even when I first started. Do not really plan on it either

#COMCFails

Its not a COMC failure this is something they are going to have to deal(as is everyone who buys or sells online eventually) with the option they took was the best way I would assume.

They could have had a run on account credit into their coffers if they even thought just a few days in advance of what they were about to announce.

So yes, complete #COMCfail.

I wish I saw this yesterday. I just went on today to buy $500 and the tax is $39.38. Damn.

Well, that probably eliminated me from buying as often on COMC.

Haven't bought any store credit in 2019 yet. Guess this whole sales tax is a pretty effective deterrent.

I wish comc would give the government the middle finger and put their entire business at risk for my $40 credit purchases. What the hell is their problem? Jerk faces

I have never bought any store credit and never plan on it. Currently have about 4000 items listed and over 300.00 in the account.
