I would think the buybacks would be either rookie cards or inserts people collect like the Kabooms. At least they will be hard signed. Similar to archives in baseball. So values will just depend on collector base for each player.

The purple auto #/10 or less is not listed on sell sheet. So, that is a FOTL exclusive too. There are definitely 1/1 buybacks in the regular product but I am sure they are not 1 per box.

^^^ This. Sure, FOTL NT Basketball is around the corner. But the likelihood of scoring more than 1 box at release is slim to none. If you only have $500 to spend, then wait and gamble on getting a FOTL NT Basketball box. If you have more funds available, $300 ( same price a standard box) is a no brainer.

I wasn't a buyer of the regular boxes at first presell, but I have only seen them at $315-$325/ box at online retailers such as Blowout. Maybe they all bumped the price $75+ since presells were listed. It wouldn't surprise me in the least.

Would "assume" the same process as Toppps Archives Signature buybacks. They are clearly stamped. Finding 828 different cards in total to be signed by 50+ different players wouldn't be that difficult to do.

They will list the FOTL product AT 10 am CST tomorrow. An active link is something that a person using a bot can use in a program. It is one good thing they are doing moving forward.

They don’t ALWAYS buy. In fact, there’s been a couple occasions where they haven’t (e.g., the product above). So it’s always possible.

Definitely not a guarantee. But this rookie crop is as good as it's been in the past few years, so odds are you'll be able to sell to at least one of the major retailers or Ebay for a profit. How big that profit is is yet to be determined.

Yes, honors is a buyback. Honors cards are still aesthetic, but the resale does not command the same as pack pulled autos 1/1s.

Speculation on my part but assuming they take those cards that are held out of the product for potential "damage replacement" or whatever and then put the 1/1 on them and throw them in this product. Guessing this is actually masterful on their end because the cards are already produced, have a couple guys write 1/1 on them and add a base set at low production cost and sell them at this price point. Win/win for them....get rid of that stuff sitting in the warehouse and make pretty nice money at low cost basis for production of product.

No, I suspect there will be multiple 1/1's for the same player, just with different buyback cards. As long as it's a different card they signed they can call it a "1/1".

Edit: It would be interesting to see how many of each player is available. Assuming, of course, there will be a checklist released which might not happen.

This is exactly why I sold them. Yes it is possible that making just 300 profit could be small if this is a great product but the chance of me opening them and getting 1200 worth of cards is less than 1% actually I would need roughly $1350 after ebay fees and paypal to make the 300 profit.

This really means nothing imo. Like every product BO has an offer in mind and only buys a certain amount at the price point they think they can still make money on. When this gets opened if the first few boxes are dynamite then they might up the price or at the very least buy more. If the boxes end up being duds they just wont buy anymore. i think this is why 750 were available. they probably put in some cushion room in case overpurchases. maybe they went over the "extra" threshold and they're just cutting off an extra box for some people who got 3

I wouldn't get mad at them for not honoring the $400 per box offer if it only changed because I failed to honor my end of the deal (by not delivering them the agreed upon quantity). Obviously I wouldn't want them to reduce their offer either but if it happened, I wouldn't consider it bad business of them.

But if BO and I agree to a deal, and they reduce their offer mid-deal when I'm following through on my end, I'd definitely have a problem with that. But they've never done that to me.

It would be bad business because they committed to a certain price per box that wasn't dependent on a specific quantity. It's not like they said "$400/box as long as we get 6 boxes". The seller made the deal in good faith and, frankly, has no reason to be lying about 3 boxes getting cancelled.

BO should be happy that they got out of 3 boxes @ $400 and can now potentially buy those 3 boxes for $360 from someone else. Telling OP the entire deal is off would just be them taking advantage of the situation.

I wonder if the latency issues on the new site cause orders to go through when inventory is technically sold out. If you didn't go over the 3 boxes per transaction, they might have cancelled because they oversold and their servers couldn't catch up to stock reaching zero. Panini may also be treating the limit as a household limit. NT was 1 box per transaction and I adhered to that limit for all my orders yet they still cancelled a bunch of them with no email notification. Your charges will drop off soon, as they should be showing up as pending charges on your card, not actual charges.
