Hyperbole? There's no /10 equivalent in baseball. But I'll give you a 2018 Topps Chrome orange refractor in a black label. A raw copy sold for $120 in February.

Plus, this is Prizm gold. The most chased parallel of the Panini era, period. Huge card.

It's one of the things I learned about the BK-side of the hobby. Imagine a showcase full of prizm GOLD's /10 vs. a showcase of prizm GREEN's /5.

The gold will get the most attention 100% of the time! A lot of ego's here...they go for what gets the most attention! :)!

Totally agree. The problem with auctions like this is that so many people have an interest in a strong sale. And so many of those people are scum.

The Green’s /5 Prizm or Optic don’t hold a candle to Prizm or Optic Gold /10. Not a fan of the Green /5. This year’s Prizm /5 Black/Gold or Optic Choice Black/Gold /8 are the only under 10 copies that should appreciate in price In the next few years. Optic Black Velocity/39 cards also should see a gain over the years because, IMO, they have been the best parallel in Optic or Prizm the last 2 years.

Because some guy in a warehouse assigning somewhat subjective grades to cards made it so. Any card with quad 9.5s or a PSA 10 has the same eye appeal as this, but that label is what makes investors go crazy.

Hobby and Retail Prizm don’t have green to /5 but 17/18 & 18/19 Prizm Fast Break both had Neon Green /5. Optic has had a Green /5 since it’s inception.

Prizm is today's Topps Chrome. Could you imagine if there was a 1996 or 1997 Topps Chrome MJ gold refractor /10? That's what this card is.

No disrespect but LBJ, as great as he is, ain’t no MJ. MJ is the GOAT. I could easily pick 10 players I’d want over that bitchy queen. However I understand he’s the modern MJ in collecting today. My main point is Prizm is so overhyped it’s pathetic. I don’t think you can though wrong with key silver rookies or golds but a Curry base 15/16 raw sold for $63, a PSA 10 for $148...great player but wow people need to slow down and put the crack pipe down.

I wasn’t saying he’s MJ. But as MJ was that generation’s best player, LBJ is this generation’s best player. This card is the equivalent of an MJ 2nd year TC Gold Refractor black label if that existed. And despite you picking 10 players you’d rather have instead, the market disagrees with you and would pick zero current players over LBJ.

People can stay out of Prizm all they like. But why waste your time in these threads? This is a 2nd year Prizm gold black label. It’s going to get some ridiculous amount that you can’t understand because there’s bound to be more than one person who needs this.
