I've always wondered why the design of HIT and the other unlicensed stuff is so incredibly bad. Just watched a break of 2019 and its like comically bad.
I swear they must have a running joke to see how bad they can get and people still buy it.
There are 4 fonts on the front of the card alone. Why is there a chain link texture behind the players? The Auto and Next Level designs arent terrible. Speaking of next level, the Portrait and Instant Impact inserts are next level awful. I remember back in the mid 2000s where they had contests to design an insert set for a few years and those were bad too. I know there were good designs because I entered those and it was so frustrating to see what they chose.
I've seen plenty of wonderful custom designs from users here who I bet would love to design a set and would do it for product or a low fee. I know I would.
Does graphic design affect your buying choices or is it just about scratching the itch no matter how ugly the cards are?
