I am assuming you mean 07/08. Memphis would have nobody besides Derrick Rose or maybe CDR that could match up with the Cavs. It wouldn't even be close.

Cavs starters last night: Sessions, Harris, Eyenga, Jamison, Hickson
Buckeyes starters today: Lauderdale, Sully, Lighty, Diebler, Buford
I'd still give it to the Buckeyes

A D-League team would easily beat the best college teams, no chance college stands a chance against an NBA team.

You mean the team that didn't even win the collegiate national championship? Seems as if they might have trouble beating the worst NBA team when they weren't even the best team in the NCAA that season.

I agree. Too many kids who are good college players but can't cut it in the NBA. Thabeet comes to mind.

Lighty will be a early 2nd/late first round pick

So that means he will be able to compete with NBA starters? Well over half of early 2nd/late rist round players don't stay in the NBA for more than a couple years let alone compete with NBA starters.

Don't know, but better than D-League. We're all talking about the Cavs that have lost 24 in a row and can't beat anybody, right; and the Buckeyes that have won 24 in a row and have beat everybody?

This, ^^^ and it wouldn't even be a game after the first quarter.

The NBA team would beat the NCAA team 10 out of 10 times, 100 out of 100 times, and so on.

the fab 5 would have something to say about this. i don't think cwebb needs extra timeouts against the current cavs. don't forget about all those ridiculous duke teams of the past with some combination of brand/battier/boozer/jay williams/dunleavy/etc. i'm sure there were some ridiculous college teams of the past that could compete against and beat the nba's worst teams.

these days it's different because the most talented players never stay more than a year or two(kd/rose/wall/mayo/u name it), so college basketball has a load of crappy players these days. back in the day players stayed longer in college and became better players before entering the nba. because this is really no longer the case, you'd really be hard pressed to find current college teams that would have any type of chance against an nba team.

This is exactly right. Earlier in the NBA season people on here were saying the Clippers would finish last in the Big Ten. LOL. What a joke...

Bucks have the better coach.. Best player.. and know how to win.. Cavs have a bunch of d league players on their current roster who can't play together.. Those who are voting for the Cavs give me a few good reasons why they would win. The current Bucks roster has better NBA players than the current Cavs roster. This Cavs teams is one of the worse in NBA history.. Keep in mind Mo Williams and Anderson Varajo are out.

yes, I don't care if Ohio State doesn't win the NCAA title.. Guess what? this current Cavs team couldn't win the NCAA title.. They have zero post play.. Guard play is too up and down and no go to guy. They don't play as a team their best play is too worried about being traded.. The list goes on and on. It would be different if two of their starting 5 could play but with the team as is.. I give a lot of NCAA teams a shot to beat this group of dog sh!t

Matta isn't even that great of an in game coach. He excels in recruiting, Byron Scott is a legitimate NBA coach with multiple years of HC experience in the L.

Deshaun Thomas is probably the Bucks second best NBA player. I would take at least 10 current Cavs players over him. You are talking about two 18/19 year old kids compared to NBA vets.

I should have known Wolferr was arguing the short bus side of the argument.

LOL.....

Sullinger is going to be the number 1 pick this year.. Lighty is going to be a 2nd round pick this year. Buford will be a 2nd round pick this year if he comes out... Thomas will be a 1st round pick next year...

LOL at Thad Matta not being a good in game coach... Says the Rick Barnes fan boy.. LOL

I would agree but the Cavs are NOT a NBA team right now.. Look at who is on their team.. These are D-League players.. I laughed at the Clippers thread because I knew Blake Griffin is better than any current college player. The same can not be said for ANY current Cavs player. Sully is WAYYYYY better than any current Cadaver.

Sullinger won't be the #1 overall pick this year. So you are saying you would rather have a second round draft pick than anyone on the Cavs roster? Am I understanding this correctly? I think it is 50/50 that Thomas comes out this year and would almost gauranteed be the second Buckeye picked in the draft.

And Matta really isn't that great of an in game coach, he's better than Foster though. Also I don't give a rats ass about the Texas basketball program.

i argue that the cavs should take him first overall, but that is the only place i could see it and it would all be on gilbert wanting to fill seats or not

If the Cavs get the #1 pick I say that there is no way they pass up the hometown kid in Sullinger. There is really no solid #1 pick and I doubt that a player's stock rises so much in the NCAA tournament that he becomes a top pick type player since Derrick Williams and Perry Jones do not play on great teams. It really depends who gets the top pick. I could see the Raptors drafting a guy like Kyrie Irving #1 overall.

wolffer12
02-07-2011, 01:09 AM
I see only three people going number 1 and one killed himself with and injury.. Irving, Sully and Terrence Jones... Williams is making a push and if he has a great tourament he can become the fourth. As for Perry Jones.... No thanks dude doesn't have the heart or drive to be a great pro..

All day we will be in touch one way or the other... I hope Sully doesn't declare as it will be another great year for the Bucks but I need to be realistic here.

If the Cavs drafted Sully and he left for another team at any point in his career he'd be deemed a traitor.

Just like your home boy Brett Favre too huh?

I don't think you ever see me calling him a traitor.. You will see me calling him a fraud because of all of his previous quotes about how he wanted to break a title to Cleveland but when he had to chance to leave he quit like a little bitch..

Once again I agree but this isn't a NBA team right now.. This is a D-League team.. They have lost 34 of their last 35 games. I am a big time Cavs fan and I am the first to tell you OSU would give them fits and all they could handle any night of the week.

Remember two of their starting 5 are out.. NO MO and no Anderson... Nobody on this Cavs roster can take a game over. They have undrafted guys playing major minutes. I can go to the streets to NYC and find 5 better players than these clowns out here. It is all about the chance given and I believe college teams have more heart and desire than this current cast of sh!t the cavs have.

No, Favre is not a traitor. I wouldn't root for him or any other team he's on cause I'm a fan of my TEAM, not the individual players. I could care less if Favre won some SB's with the Vikings or if he lead them to consecutive 0-16 seasons.

When the day comes that Favre gets honored in the Packers Ring of Fame he'll get the credit he deserves. When LeBron gets his # retired by the Cavs I'm sure he'll still get booed. Actually, if Gilbert is still the owner he'll probably refuse to retire LeBron's #
