Thanks for republishing, I'm glad to see your updates added, like the Nelson Spruce. Any thought you'll work on 1998 Pennants and track down the Blue and Yellow (Rams colors?). In COMC, Sportlots, eBay and Beckett, you can find almost, if not all of the variants.

I don’t collect Contenders College/Draft, I only collect Contenders Base Rookie Tickets and the Base Variation Rookie Tickets. For Contenders Optic, I only collect the base.

Thank you. I'd say about 3 years. Now it's just maintenance; picking up the new Contenders and Contenders Optic when they release, and searching for the last few hard to find ones.

Funny to see how many of these guys my Bears under up with at one time or another.

Eddie Kennison, Orlando Pace, Adam Archuleta, Mike Martz, Pisa Tinoisamoa, Benny Cunningham and I’m sure there were others.
Archuleta used to be one of my favorite players growing up. But that is kind of interesting to see so many former Rams end up as Bears.

Outstanding! I've done the same thing for the Broncos, but I've been at it all along. That you've done this in just the last three years is pretty incredible. Tracking down those rarer ones, you've been lucky they weren't stashed away when they came out.

You must have paid a few bucks for some of them. I imagine it would be hard to track down a Maurice Claret at a decent price these days, although I haven't checked in years.

Have you added any parallels? Cracked Ice or Printing Plates? And I don't see any insert autos. Draft Class, ROY, or Rookie Ink? Just the rookie cards? I like to add a few parallels to each year, especially if I can get them at a great price. And I've done pretty well on the auto's inserts. Not so much the last few years though.

Hard to pay for a Paxton Lynch card these days. haha

How do you store them? I found some nice Broncos notebooks at my local Office Depot, and one of them is just this, a team book of Contenders autos over the years.

Do you collect any other Contenders, or are you just focused on the Rams? I used to open boxes, and even bought a few cases in 05, 06, and 11. Hence, I have another book full of those.

Last question. What's your favorite year/set over the years? Which design do you like the best?
- Aside from the cards that Panini hasn't created/released, the only ones that were difficult to find was the 2016 Nelson Spruce, the 2013 Stedman Bailey variation, and the 1996 Lawrence Phillips Leather Red. The Nelson Spruce is SSP/22, The Stedman Bailey was a redemption and it is still the only live one I have seen. The Lawrence Phillips is the Red versions, which is listed as "Ultra Rare." I got the Bailey and Phillips for under $10. As a matter of fact, the majority have been under $5. I've only paid $100+ for the Kurt Warner and the Goff versions. Though, I got the Goffs at a fair price compared to what they're selling for now.

- No parallels and no inserts. With the different variations Panini puts out, I have no desire to collect parallels or inserts. I like to keep it simple, just the Base/Base Variations. I also collect the base Contenders Optic Rookie Tickets. Additionally, I collect the base tickets (the veterans), but those aren't pictured. However, I have a few Legendary Contenders autos that I am looking to sell, and I have the 2018 1/1 Contenders to Canton Kurt Warner auto.

- I store them in top-loaders, and then placed in perfect fit sleeves. Then they're put in a Card Case Pro. Organized by year, of course.

- Only Rams Contenders

- My favorite years....
* 1999, because they're all on card.
* 2001, I like the design
* 2004 would probably be my favorite of all of them, if I had to choose.

So cool seeing contenders over the years. I remember how hot 99 contenders was, that year was just crazy for rookies. I remember being pissed when 2000 contenders came out and was 5 dollars a pack..OUCH. Good thing I didn't buy a lot that year sigh....

Yep! You sold me the 2013 Alec Ogletree variation back in February 2018. I keep records of every card I buy... date, cost, and seller.
