Anyone notice that they actually changed up the designs a bit? IMO the center alignment looks better than the true Prizm designs.

Also some nice in game photography (grantee Luka looks like he’s about to fumble the ball out of bounds on this one).

Those cards really bring out the ugly in Prizm. That awful Mosaic logo, the ancient 1991 Donruss Elite foil, just blech.

Will these be undervalued? Sure, but this is offering a rare on card Prizm auto list. I would definitely buy considering $100 is on the affordable end of the scale these days, but I'm on a self-imposed nix till June simply because I bought a Court Kings case and sent money down the plumbing. Could have saved for a case of this instead of impulse CK, but patience is not my strong suit when I feel ill.

Hope for singles and a good KAT image on these.

Buying to flip was a mistake. At $100/per to break, not awful if you spent within your budget

No app issues and not even close to selling out quickly. Lebron base from last year are $5 cards. This is for suckers, IMO. Unless buying for a quick rip - more power to you.

Also for all you rainbow chasers... The checklist for the base set is much smaller and different so if you're chasing a player they may not even be in this set. KG for example is not in Mosaic at all so no extra cards to get!

Bought 4 just for ripping. Hopefully that’ll be enough to get an auto that isn’t DiVincenzo or Robinson and if it isn’t 100 a box isn’t bad... I mean there’s people who spent more on court kings lol

I'm curious to see how the RC autos do. The worst part about Prizm hobby is the hideous sticker autos, which gives Optic a big advantage. I expect the autos to do at least as well as Optic for RCs, and the nice vet checklist is a big plus.

Had the same issue recently. I called customer service until I got someone to pick up the phone, which took a couple of days. When they did pick up they took care of it quickly. They said that coupon codes are almost never good for new products. I told them I didn't want them if I didn't get the discount, which was true, and they gave me the discount. They did have to create a new order to do it, so I had charges for both orders pending in my account until the first one dropped off.

Same here. Bought 12 for a total of $960 but was charged $1200. Cancelling if they do not honor it.

I don't understand how Panini continually releases new products where the coupon codes work and then go OH CRAP and turn them off. Come on guys, it should be pretty easy to disable the codes BEFORE you list the items for sale LOL.

But when Panini says on checkout that discount will be applied and shows the discounted price and then later charges for the full amount, that's on Panini not the customers. Also, not everyone might have read the fine print for a coupon code...

Agreed. I didn't buy anything either, but it is on Panini to make sure their coupon system works properly in their store. Otherwise, they should have to deal with the customer service issues like they have now. There is no reason they can't program their website to return an error like 'That code is not valid for this purchase'.

Completely understand people being ticked off if it shows that the discount works but you get charged otherwise. Still shouldn’t expect panini to honour the discount. If they do that’s awesome but if not it’s stated pretty clearly. If they offer a refund that really should be all you can expect. Also ignorance isn’t a defence lol.

I’d be happy to pull any Lebron parallels, basically the first prizm card of him in a lakers uniform and the picture they chose is top notch imo. Should sell nicely

At least choice and a product like fast break has the same basic prizm base and direct parallels to the base product. This is a whole different mess altogether. I wouldn’t consider these cards as parallels to base prizm. Different design and photo

I get it from a whole "true RC" perspective, but I feel like that's the advantage it has. It's not just new parallels of base Prizm (like FB and Choice), but a whole new checklist. It'll never have the market that Prizm has, but it actually seems to be comparable on the secondary market to something like Optic. The action shots on RCs are much better, autos are better, fewer parallels, way less scrubs. I just feel like after ripping Hobby Prizm, this, and Optic, this was much better. Maybe I just had better luck in this, but I've seen quite a few other nice breaks as well.

I guess if it does catch on, Panini will add 15 new parallels and water it down like they've done with hobby, so maybe it's better that it stays in the lower tier with the Revolutions and such. I really just thought this year's was a major improvement, and I'm surprised the market doesn't reflect it.

Nice cards, but I think it's just market fatigue at this point. BK post-season is winding down and so much baseball to throw money at...hard to get interested in BK until maybe summer league.

Personally, I'm having trouble deciding what to buy next...this, 2018 Topps Update Hangers from Walmart, 2016-17 stuff for Siakam, etc. Tough...

I ripped a case and got four autos - Kobe, Giannis, Donovan Mitchell and KAT /5. Very nice. It also had Trae camo /25, two Luka red, Trae and Ayton green and tons of rookie numbered and colored. Also got LeBron color and Steph Curry camo /25. Very nice case.

Ripped 4 boxes, Dirk Auto, Wendell Carter auto, Lebron /49, Luka Base, Luka Red, and gold Aaron Gordon (magic fan so that was the best way to not get a great gold). No numbered rookies which was odd for ripping 4 boxes since ~1/4th of the checklist is rookies

At 100 a box it’s worth a rip or two but I wouldn’t expect to hit a goldmine since I’ve seen very few cards actually clear 100 other than the Luka numbered parallels and gold autos. If you’re collecting only 1 or 2 players from this draft class buy singles, if not then rip away it’s fun to open!
