I recently bought a card on eBay for about $200 shipped from Germany. It arrived Wednesday May 29. This morning, May 30, I filed a return.
There is a remarkable surface indentation that looks like a black pen came in contact with it along with some other damage: corner dings, edge damage, more surface damage. I'm returning it because of the indentation.
The seller accepted the return this morning and already refunded me the full amount, about $200, however, I've yet to ship it. Yes, I have the money and the card. I contacted eBay support arleady. Apparently, eBay doesn't provide return labels for international purchases. Secondly, since the seller already refunded me, the case is closed and support said there is nothing they will do.
I then contacted the seller via email (not eBay messages, his actual email). The seller has offered to PayPal me the correct amount to ship it back, however, it seems from USPS it'll be a minimum of $25.00 to ship to Germany.
Is this true? Are there any other cheaper methods to ship a card to Germany?
Also, how much in fees do eBay and PayPal collect from a return? ie: I'm wondering how much the seller is losing from this return: cost of initial shipping + cost of return shipping + eBay/PayPal fees = ???
