I think $1 per pack could be worth it. All depends on the packs you get obviously. The picture on their site looks like mostly junk packs, but the description made it sound a little more promising. Says all of NBA's 2000's and today's hit. Retail packs are usually $3-$4 each. So even if you don't get any "hits" (I'm only hoping for a few decent RC cards), the value is there to me to get even a couple bucks off the retail price. Just my opinion though. I don't have super high expectations.

I don't follow the baseball forums... did anyone hit big over there out of these random packs?

Depends on the definition of "big". There were some, especially early on, fairly good retail packs...packs that would probably sell in the $5-10 each range on eBay and a few rookies or auto's were pulled that were worth in the $20-50 range, but it was kind of a crap shoot on what you got and if those good packs were in there, and a lot of junk thrown in too that would be equal to 90-91 Hoops or 91-92 Skybox. Most likely at least half the 10 packs will be junk like that.

I suspect the good packs in basketball might be some 12-13 and 13-14 retail packs where you *could* hit a Kawhi or Giannis RC, but certainly won't be easy pulls. Maybe some newer Prizm, too, if you're lucky.

I'll be opening these at the end of the month on vacation/bday & will share results mid July at the latest.

Also bought 10+ baseball Wal-Mart lots and a handful of football. I sprinkled in some hobby purchases from BO as well, anywhere from $80-$300ish a box, such as contenders, optic, etc.

If I get some junk packs, it's to be expected. But with the current baseball feedback that was not typically the case.

That means I have about 1,000 packs to open and spent what I consider is extremely reasonable for sitting down, relaxing, and opening literally all day.

Sure, I have a horse in this race hoping the contents are good. But unlike Panini hobby, if I take a bath and yield 10-15%, I am not disappointed.

Still optimistic BO does their own re-pack other than the Halloween specials, I'd be in!

Yep, got the wrestling cards. Looks like a nice assortment. Those were 30 packs for 15 bucks, so even if I don't get anything good (and I'm not a huge wrestling card guy), it will be a fun break to open packs.

ZERO basketball packs. Just the wrestling and baseball. And half the baseball packs were 91 ultra, and almost all the rest were dollar store packs, LOL. Oh well.

Yup. Baseball is dead. Hockey is OK....lots of pinnacle mint, but some good late 90's packs with decent serial numbered stuff. Basketball I don't know enough about to justify if those Topps packs are worth it....

The 2004-05 Upper Deck has long odds. but odds on a Flight Team Rainbow. I have always thought retail was a good shot to beat the printed odds. Good luck!

I did well, only 1 junk era pack. Didn't pull anything crazy. 3 Durant RC's, 1 Yao Jersey and a Triple Nowinski, Harris, Finley Jersey /25 from UD R-Class.

My friend though got 2 different boxes of 60 packs, first one was OK, then he opened his 2nd one and got FIVE Jumbo racks of 2009-10 Topps! One sold for $120 a few days ago!

Seems like basketball is yielding better results than baseball (in most cases) which was my original hypothesis.

I have over 700 packs from basketball, baseball, and football ready to break next week on vacation, all from the Wal-Mart lots....ordered in quantities of 2-10 in hopes of variety.

Still standing by the fact that BO should do this.

I signed up for email alerts, but haven't gotten any so I periodically check...and there they were! $100 packs for $100 bucks is a good deal even if I get nothing, which is what I expect. But, I stopped collecting for a few decades and came back in 2012, so I hope to just get some random stuff I've never opened and I'll be happy.

The grim news...

Plenty of hoops and college packs, as predicted.

Still a fun rip and hit lot's of key names like Jordan, Bird, and Magic.

Lot's of dollar store packs (which I rank above 90's Hoops) and again got HOFers or will be HOFers.

No Prizm, which was what I predicted would be in here.

The good news...

Dozens of Topps and Topps Chrome from multiple years!

Had multiple chances at Curry and Durant rookies, but struck out at them except for 1 Durant Topps. Hit a few rookie parallels but just not the right names.

Greg Oden rookies showed up a lot, don't think there is still a big market for him.

Hit some jersey cards of decent folks like Robinson, Stockton, and Wade.

Final Conclusion

Overall, I had a blast!!

Football seemed to be the weaker of the 3 sports I mingled in...

My best pulls came from Baseball (lot's of $10-$30 cards) but Basketball could have yielded the best results if the dice would have rolled my way.

I'd do it again in a heartbeat!

Sorry for the two year bump but just got my biggest pull from the 3 lots that I opened back from PSA. This was such a fun time opening cheap wax. I got a bunch of 07-08 products but this was the only Durant I pulled from the packs. Did get 3 of those white border rookie sets but the Durants were all damaged. We certainly wont see any deals like this one for a long, long time
