Just sharing 2 recent pickups of two very under rated players. Got these at steal of a deal

1976 topps traded rookie. I picked this up for $35 on ebay. I was the only bidder with a $35 opening bid. I felt it should have went for more then that.

Great pickups, I'm glad you're happy. Collect what you like and it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. Always remember, this is supposed to be fun, and again, congrats!

I could not agree with this more..... Unfortunately, our hobby still has work to do respecting this well expressed credo.

I will never claim to be the smartest guy in the room, but even I know this probably isn't the smartest comment to make after recent issues have come up.

If you are going to not respond to the threads calling you out for very shady business, if may be wise to not make comments about the hobby being fun. Just a thought though.

Appreciate your opinion on my post.
The posts in that "other thread" are false accusations made based on anecdotal evidence.
I am more than qualified to speak about collecting as I have been collecting likely since before many members here were born.
I may not be the smartest guy in the room, but it may not be wise to try not derail threads from members who are trying to enjoy the hobby.

I'm the same way. The only players I collect these days where I will buy non rookies are George Brett and Frank Thomas. The rest I just care about rookies.

Nice, I always get my best deals when an auction starts at some weird price.

I know McGriff is in a Blue Jays uniform but in my mind I see it as a Braves one.

I know McGriff is in a Blue Jays uniform but in my mind I see it as a Braves one. That's when I became a big fan of his. When I was a young boy I absolute loved watching the Braves on TBS. I would set and watch the entire game as 9, 10 year old and on up until they removed them from TBS. Lot of times i would watch them and then go outside in the yard and play ball by myself acting out what happen in the game...lol... My first baseball game that really got me hooked was the braves vs twins 1991 when Pucket hit the HR to force game 7. That was my first ever Braves game that I set down and watched in full. From there on i was a huge Braves fan up until chipper retired. Braves and TBS was a big part of my child hood. I sure miss those days.
