I don't normally pay much attention to Clearly Authentic cards for my PC players, but I saw a few come through my feed that looked nice, so I decided to look.

I noticed a few for sale there are not in the case that I thought all come in. Does this raise red flags in your mind as a buyer?

I'm not that likely to sell them anytime soon, but I'd like to at least know if it reduces their resale interest / price. And make sure I'm not making a poor decision.

My only issue would be that they were opened to see if worthy to submit for grading and did not pass.

Ya - that makes sense... these acetate cards I think have a lot of surface issues... let alone edges... maybe don’t clear 9 too often?!?

I've never seen one in person but I'd assume so.

I submitted 2 clearly autos from 2018 a few months ago. I thought both were guaranteed 10s. Both received PSA 9.

I recently sold one out of its case, case was so scratched up that it took away from the appeal of the card, so I removed it.

That is why most of mine get removed. The case is just so scuffed up, it just looks better moving it to a toploader. I personally don't care if it is in the case or not, so I would buy it either way if it was PC.
