Question about a Trout JSY piece

Okay, I have a question about this piece. I pulled it out of a box of 2019 Topps Series 2 a couple of hours ago. I've checked ebay, and I can't find any that look like this. Not even sure what the marks are. Does anyone have a clue?

Also what kind of value, if any, do the marks add to the card? I'm just curious. Here's what the card looks like...

Just uploaded again. I had taken the original off because it was with my crummy phone. Added an actual scan now.

That's what I was thinking too. Would like a little more input before I jump off the bridge to that conclusion. Also, what value, if any, does it add?

I was thinking the same thing. In fact, two people that PMed one said it devalues the card. In other words makes it go down in value. One of them said they were interested, but couldn't pay what they were going for on ebay since it was damaged with ink.

Topps has in the past cut up autographed jerseys. IIRC it was even Trout that had been cut up, maybe this is part of the same jersey?

It is such a tragedy that they cut up jerseys to begin with, but to cut up a autographed one is insanity!
