Help me get to 500!

As many know, I am trying to get out of the hobby. However I still have a bunch of stuff left that I am trying to decide what to do with.

A friend at work and I started talking about Pete Alonso, and the season he is having (He is a HUGE Mets fan, turns out there are a couple!) In the conversation it came up about baseball cards, and he said it would be cool to have one, so I joked, why just one, how about 500?

Well, knowing nothing about the hobby, he claimed it would be impossible to get 500 of the same card. I do not agree with this, challenging yes, impossible no! So I made a friednly bet with him, that by the end of the year (calendar year not baseball year) I would be able to get 500 of them. We set a spending limit, which I am not going to share here, but one way I can keep myself within that spending limit is to trade for them. He knows this and is okay with it, which is why the extra spending money is so low! He just wanted to make it so I couldn't go onto eBay and complete my challenge in a week by just dropping money at it.

Either way, this thread is to be my way of trading for them on BO. These cards are cross posted on several other places I used to frequent, so some of them may go on those places instead, but I will do my best to keep this updated as cards get traded away. My goal is to turn everything I have into nothing but Pete Alonso!

I will add to this thread as cards get scanned in, and will probably be adding to them as some people I have already made trades with didn't have Alonso but really wanted some of the cards I had offered.


I AM ONLY LOOKING FOR 2019 TOPPS SERIES 2 #475 PETE ALONSO

I really just want base, but higher end cards, I will trade for higher end parallels.

This was his rule, not mine for which specific card. (Topps was the only brand he knew).

Thanks for the words Petie! I obviously haven’t gotten out yet, had some cards returned to me so I am still here until they are all gone. Plus with me being in this bet, I am in until I at least hit 500 or December 31, 2019, lol.

I completely get how hard this will be, and that his prices are moving up. I need to hurry up and get myself organized so I can put a big dent in this before he reaches Acuna prices! At current prices, with what I have I think I will be close.
