Need some advice from the experienced members with vintage grading as it's not my strong suit. Anyway, I have an oppurtunity to buy a pretty nice Bobby Orr Rookie. Centering and corners look great, but the surface has a few creases.
Realistically what do you guys think this could grade from PSA or BVG?
I have no idea if the sellers asking price is reasonable or high for this raw. So any feedback would be great

I personally would not buy an ungraded Orr RC unless I absolutely trusted the seller, knew my way around other 1966 Topps cards for feel, weight and texture and held the card in hand.
Too many fakes and reprints- too many doctored cards with added scuffs, sanded corners, creases, delaminations etc.
The card pictured looks to have a trimmed top edge (or the card is warped from water damage?) and the image and yellow print appears to be 'ghosting' so it is likely not a fake.
I own a couple of 'reprints' that would probably pass muster with the less initiated and inexperienced.
Be careful! :)

It is worth grading this card just due to the value. The pictured card will get a 1,1.5 or 2 due to the creasing but still presents well.
Assuming I am right on the grade, its worth about 1k-1.5k graded. I would expect to pay less ungraded.

Really great points and info so far. Thanks alot everyone. Quite certain the card is 100% genuine and unaltered. Believe the seller is a stand up guy that knows his way around vintage and wouldn't try and sell me a fake.
Consensus so far seems to be a possible 2 if I'm lucky. May make an offer then on this as someone else mentioned the card does present well with good eye appeal.
Just hoping I can pick this up for the right price. I'll update this thread if the sale happens
Thanks again guys!

if its authentic, i could see it in a 2 for sure
I agree with all of the above including 'trusting' that it has not been altered in any way.
As far as grading the color is pretty damn good, typical corner and edge wear for a card that old, I think even with some centering issues you should still get the 2 (Good) grade.
