Hi guys. I'm new to dabling in the realm of baseball cards, been collecting basketball for a long while.

Trying to work on a baseball project lately and some of the players I'm looking for don't have many auto'd cards.

Noticed this set from 1996 Donruss called Leaf Signature Series. Are these real auto's because there is no authentication anywhere on the card. Here is an example of the set i'm referring too. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Those are legit. The down side of that set is that there was a lot of common player autographs.

Absolutely real. Look for Donruss Signature Series as well from the late 98-99. Great products with a very comprehensive checklist and some nice HOF autos.

Yeah, what he says.

A TON of crappy players though. Best auto I got was a silver Andre Dawson.

Bought one pack when these came out, pulled my player - Will Clark. :D

Fast forward to the Extended Series. Also bought one pack.... Roger Clemens SP. :)

But I got waaaaay lucky. There are indeed TONS of no-names in this set.

Just to let you know, I'm doing some researching on the checklist and found 251 cards were in the original set, and some more in the extended set.
Some great notables of the 251 players are:
Sal Fasano
Juan Acevedo
Kurt Abbott
David Bell
Rickey Bones
Marc Newfield
Geronimo Berroa
Bryan Rekar
Mark Hutton
Chris Haney
Scott Sanders
Noberto Martin

As you can see some world class sigs there lol. There are some awesome guys that signed though that you don't see much of like Pettitte, Rivera, Saberhagen, Vizquel, a lot of the not superstars, but some good role guys like Eisinrich, Fernando Vina, Scott Brosius.

Back then though not even close to worth what they were charging per pack.

Thanks for the info everyone. Not looking to put the set together. Working on getting an auto of about 170 different Mets players from all time. There are a few from the set I mentioned.
