Looks like Kane and Toews have a great chance to make the club out of training camp -

I think Toews could be rookie of the year, after reading the UD interview in the new Beckett Hockey. Yeah, I dig deep to form my opinions.

I would bet on Backstrom, but Toews could win too.

I'm going to give everyone a name. This is just a hunch, I don't have anything more than what I have seen in a few college games, and I've missed before, but I've hit before too.

Jamie McBain, defense prospect for the Carolina Hurricanes... I think he has a chance to be a superstar. He is a cerebral defender with a nose for the net, who could wind up being like Sergei Gonchar with more defensive skill. He is expected to be a 2009-10 NHL rookie, so it will be a while, and he doesn't have any cards that I know of, but that's my hunch.

BTW - Kane should be a Flyer ! The NHL is fixed like the NBA. This is their way of trying to revive an original 6 team ! Kind of like Ewing going to a struggling Knicks franchise.
