Is anyone opening this product? Is there any value? Does retail come out the same day as hobby? I understand it is entry level now, but there are some low numbered cards in the set.

If you're one of the ones to hit one of the parallels /9, then there defintely could be some value in a break for sure, especially if it's a superstar. There is also sweet parallels /5 as well.

Also, there are autographs in this product, and some of them have low odds. The Group A autos are 1:27,000 packs! So if you hit one, even a Group B auto, and a player collector or set collector need it, it can mean a really nice sale if you decide to go that route.

The #1 Draft Pick Redemption card inserted in MVP is always a nice chase card as well. This year it will be New Jersey Devils' Jack Hughes.

2019 #1 Draft Pick SP Redemption (1:1,250 packs) / Gold Auto (1:12,500 packs) cards.

Also, since I mentioned the autograph hits above, here are the Group A autographs odds this year:

203 Steven Stamkos - Lightning - A 1:27,404
215 Nikita Kucherov - Lightning - A 1:27,404
217 Auston Matthews - Maple Leafs - A 1:27,404
218 Alexander Ovechkin - Capitals - A 1:27,404

There are also Group B, C, D, E and Group F autographs.

Like any other product, it really hit or miss if you only focus on resale value.

People do bust MVP. It's a fun, low-end break with some great looking parallels and a chance that a hit will make your day. Plus with the Stanley Cup Edition throwbacks, I think collectos will also feel some nostalgia, too.

Here is the full 2019-20 Upper Deck MVP Checklist (https://www.cardboardconnection.com/2019-20-upper-deck-mvp-hockey-nhl-cards#post_anchor_1_303607).

I beleive retail does come out the same day as hobby, but who knows when the stores like WalMart will carry the product on their shelves.

Last year's #1 was Dahlin..."will be" Dahlin.

2019-20 #1 is Jack Hughes.

Thanks for the correction. Had a mind blank for a second.

This will be the first UD hockey product this year you won't feel like you had your head shaved with a cheese grater.

I assume this will be on epack, bracing for the dump on comc

They'll also have acheivement cards as well like years past once it launches on ePack. Combine "x many" of this and get a card in return.
