PSA Results from buying raw on Ebay and submitting. Other things too.

I submitted a 16 card order to PSA back in late June. The encased cards arrived to me today. Almost this entire batch was comprised of cards I bought raw off eBay.

Purchased raw on eBay. Not surprised that it was labeled miscut as that was pretty common for this set. So much so that I would expect to eBay at least slab it with a Miscut label.

Note to everyone: PSA will not grade e-pack achievement cards anymore, I guess. Just ignore the hundreds of McDavid and Matthews CTGs.

These were all raw purchases from eBay. I figured these cards would come back with about the grades they did.

Bought this one raw and thought I found a steal. Looked really nice with sharp corners and good centering. Guess I missed the barely-visible hairline 1" crease in the middle of the card. I bought the raw for the equivalent price of a PSA 5. Whoops.

Took a chance. 8 is about what I expected.

Down the home stretch the grades get better...

I had no plans to grade this but I saw what kind of shape it was in and figured what the heck. Glad I did. Pop 1.

Not sure if anyone else but me will care about this card but this is a holy grail for me. I was a huge Cechmanek fan back in the day. It was hard enough to find his YG Exclusive, which I finally scored on COMC. But, to have it come back as a Pop 1 PSA 10 is just awesome.

Awesome pull on the Cechmanek. He was fun to watch those first few years in Philly.

Yep. Then the Flyers fan base broke him. A few bad games and he’s booed out of town. Never fully recovered his game in LA. Waiting for this to happen to Carter Hart.
