This is not a pump and dump situation. Pump and dump is when someone keeps posting about a player or a product with no actual reason. The desire to be on the next big thing is real! I don't see him going on to be a starter full-time, but a career backup of a good standard. In the UK, so selling on and flipping to the wider market is more hassle than it is worth, so will be keeping my few in my collection for now.

Because the family wanted to? He should be Junior, since he took the exact name of his father (First middle and last) and will only become the II once his father dies.

At least, that is how it is properly used. But Mericans are free to do as they please.

Both are used to identify that the person is the second in the family to have the name.

Jr is used when the son has the same name as the father. The second (II) is used when the elder family member is anyone other than the father. Or when the father dies, leaving the son to then be the second of his name, as he would no longer be Junior to anyone.

More validation that the preseason is useless in today’s NFL I guess. I can’t say if he will be great or even very good but can say that the dude is as tough as they come and doesn’t appear to be afraid of the situation.

I'll say it again:

The only way to get any meaningful evaluations out of preseason games is for coaches to agree to start their 1st team QBs and O-lines against the other's 1st team LBs and secondary. Let the scrub skill players and d-lines go up against real NFL starters and catch passes from a real NFL QB.

Then flip it in the second half and let the 1st team skill players and d-lines go against the scrub QBs and secondaries.

Your starters still get to go through the motions against low-level competition and maybe build some chemistry with the handful of scrubs with the talent to stick while also giving you the chance to see how an undrafted guy might actually do against real competition if he was suddenly thrust into a live NFL game with 1st team unit.

Jags didn't have anyone at the rook premiere, so some of the main card sets have basically had zero Jaguars rookie hits in. Origins for example had no Jaguars hits whatsoever unless you include patch cards. He's in a lot of the 'junk wax' early sets though.

I think most people just realize his prices will never be higher even if he has a good career like Rivers or a decent career and wins a SB like Flacco. His prices are based on 10% performance and 90% media hype. The 'stache, the swag, the cool backstory, and the "Cinderella low round draft pick makes good" all rolled into one. No one likes Gardner more than I do, but these prices are media driven. Everything being said about his on field attributes are true, he's poised, he's confident, he's accurate, he's smart, he's dynamic, he runs if needed, he's a leader. I want him to do well, but at the same time it's caused me to be priced out of many of his cards I really want. I'm hoping as more and more NFL stuff comes out people will drop prices/sell more of his college stuff which is what I PC.

I'm headed down to Pullman today for the UCLA game. GM15 will be supposedly be there also giving Leach the Coach of the Year award. He (Minshew) will get a wild, wild reception I'm sure.

I'm happy I got these three for $50-60 total when I did. #/15, #/99, and base.

Thankfully, I changed my mind and picked up one Immaculate /99, one NT /99, and one NT /25 before his stuff exploded. I got the Immaculate in the mail yesterday, the relic is pretty weak which was a disappointment. Still, better than having to spend today's prices to pick one up.

It's funny, I've never had someone I 'collect' actually do well like Minshew. So this is a new experience for me. This is the first time I've really competed with other buyers for a player's card(s). I don't like it.....

I'm sure somewhere. If you find a full game broadcast, it was the first play of the game winning drive. A Bronco went diving into his knee. No call. Very next play, a Bronco grazed Minshew's facemask and gets the 15-yard personal foul penalty.

The most prolific fumbler at the QB position, Jared Goff, fumbles a lot because he has small hands for a QB. Minshew also has small hands for a QB. This could be the problem. That and the Jags o-line is terrible.

Unfortunately, because Panini is stupid and saves the real desired "high end" releases for late in the season/after the season, an argument can be made that none of his cards out now will be desired. Certainly not like his Contenders, National Treasures and Optic will be desired. Even Prizm.

People obviously believe in him. Just look at what his cards are being bought for. A sixth round picks sticker autos should not be selling for the huge amounts his cards do.

If you think Panini isn't going to put him in every product going forward, you're wrong. His stickers will be in everything.But many have already gone into production, and until now it has been hit and miss. The checklist says he has autos in XR, but he doesnt. He wasn't in illusions, nor Origins and didnt have autos in Black nor Donruss either. It will be the latter sets where we see him consistently. When the higher end ones drop too.

I'm almost certain he will be in Rookies and Stars, but not Impeccable.

He didn't have autos in unparalleled now I think of it.

They'll come, but I think it will be the latter sets ie National Treasures and Contenders. The ones we all want anyway, but until then we may see cards that aren't usually valued still taking reasonable amounts ie his Score autos.

Just hoping I wont be disappointed and he will be in prizm.
