Glad I bought the majority of mine years ago. Most of my high dollar rookies have been in my collection for 13-14 years. Not saying it didn’t ever happen back then, but it makes me feel a little better.

Added a PSA 10 Debut Brees to go along with the PSA 10 in the COMC thread. Have a third trimmed PSA 10 I'm saving to look into the seller and still searching for the before photo on a fourth PSA 10 that will support more OCSI connections.

this is unreal. Like a previous poster I purchased most of my high end cards years ago and while this doesnt mean they are not trimmed it seems since the BOOM in prices the last decade this has become way more of a pasttime due to the HIGH DOLLARS involved.

Im curious if when a high dollar card like this is found to have been altered, if the owner can leverage PSAs insurance guarantee, or whatever the term is called in which they claim they will buy back the altered item.

The left side looks completely botched.

No photos found. Left edge is significantly cut inward as you move down the card. Should not have been graded and I assume it's trimmed.

2000 Pacific PSA 10 Brady Auto that PWCC is currently selling is also trimmed. It's tiny and has none of the light edge wear on the reverse that those should have.

As usual, almost all of the PSA 10 Mahomes Contenders Autos are trimmed. This one, first sold by PWCC, is listed for sale on eBay by victoryinvestments. Quite the investment.

If you dig into the Worthpoint links below, you will find that the card was previously graded a BGS 9 before it was trimmed. The first Worthpoint link is the most recent untrimmed sale. I only went back until I found a decent scan of the untrimmed card.

Unfortunately, this will happen with whoever the hot hobby leader is. The bigger the star, the bigger ROI on getting a 9 into a 10 holder. It is strange, between everybody throwing out "non hits" and trimming the biggest cards, the commons may end up being more valuable. They might become rare and the only thing unaltered. ha!!

By the way the cert for the Brady in post #39 has been deactivated by PSA. Card was recolored on at least the top embossed blue square and trimmed on the bottom edge. Don't think I posted about it being recolored though.
