There was no shortage of the boxes here in KC as I know they restocked at least twice, bought 12 for family members, kept four for myself. Looked at them the other day and it was just empty boxes, son snuck up in closet and took the cereal out. Was just like Frosted Flakes. They were selling for around 4 per box.

I have some. He has a deal with the store that sells them. They go for about $3.50 in store. I had a relative give me 2 boxes. One to eat, one to display. I will be back in KC at the end of October. If anyone wants a box let me know and I can try and get them for you.

Looks like there are thousands of boxes of this for sale on ebay right now. From a single box, for $10 shipped buy it now, to entire cases of it. With thousands of boxes sold over the past month as well.

Not sure if this new listing is the same guy that canceled OP's winning auction. But $100 a box is insane, and the market proves that.

$5.00 in store, and you can find plenty for $5.00 online plus shipping. Is there really money to be made here? Looks like everyone and their Uncle in KC bought boxes to sell online, for a $3.00 flip LOL

lol. I posted this yesterday from my phone, and I didn't want to be long winded over an $8 crappy seller, but sometimes you just need to vent after an ebay experience.

basically I stumble upon this listing and won on a min bid. I paid within a hour and remember seeing it listed in Kansas. The next day the seller cancels, and my refund doesn't show up over the next 6 hours. Then I see the num nuts spelled it Mahones in my listing, and wouldn't you know it, there is one listing on ebay for a mahones cereal (in Kansas) by another seller (who hasn't had feedback in over a year). It just rubbed me wrong that he could switch seller accounts and relist, and I can't even get my $8 back.. Ebay said I had to call paypal because the seller's paypal account is not set up properly to get my refund.. I asked ebay, " what is the purpose for reserved prices when people like this can just cancel whenever they don't like the sell price?"

Worse part is I knew this was going to be a waste of my time before I even called and I still went through with it. But I feel better, I guess.. At least I knew the responses here would provide the comic relief I needed.
