Price on BGS10 Dustin Ackley Orange Auto /25?

As some of you may already know, there is a BGS 10 Ackley orange auto on ebay right now for Best Offer price of $2500...I have talked to the seller and he has given me a price of around $1200-1400 to buy this card. Any opinions on what this card is worth?? I am from Seattle so maybe the price he is asking is too high but I am may just be biased. Any help would be appreciated. thanks

It's not a bad deal at 1200 but remember, it's still prospecting on a player who might not even be an all star.

well a ungraded orange just sold for best offer of 450, and and a bgs 10 refractor sold for 355. So a raw refractor goes for 60-70 dollars. So mathematically it is a very good price, as the value for bgs 10 on his stuff from that one example is X5 multiplier.

$1200 is probably about the right price, odds are there will never be a second BGS 10 on that card, there are currently 4 BGS 9.5's on the Pop Report.If he becomes a perennial Batting Title contender, that could be a great buy.

That's a very fair price if you are sold on both the card and the player. Personally, I think Ackleys are priced to point where there is much more downside than upside, but that's just my opinion. If you want the card, the price sounds right to me.
