I have been trying to finish this set for a few years now: 14/15 SP Game Used Stadium Series patch set. All cards are /99 except for Tavares /30 which I have. IMO it’s a beautiful set but fairly inexpensive to put together. I only need three cards - Grabner, Hickey and Seabrook - but for some reason, they are very hard to find or eBay bidders are drastically overpaying. Other cards in the set are not that hard to find or are quite inexpensive. I am completely baffled as to why.

I’d appreciate any info you have. Thanks!

Could be that other set collectors going hard for those cards you mentioned?

I’d think so but it’s still odd. Hopefully I’ll finish the set one day.

I’ve got two answers. I’m not familiar with set but are you certain about the print runs? There are a lot of random sp and ssp in upper deck sets do it wouldn’t surprise me.

If it’s not that, hockey might have the most insane set collectors. Remember those old pacific sets where every base card had a patch version? Ever seen what the hard to get ones fetch? 300 dollars for some random 4th liner. So if you and 2 other guys are building it, yep bid war. The important part here is patience. My one friend was working on a signed goalie pad set and the last card he needed was the hasek /3. Took like a decade then one day at the big philly show we found it. You’ll find yours too.

I think so? Those late 90s early 00s Pacific blend together. It was a bizarre set and the numbering was crazy. No order to it, just all numbered out of X. With X ranging from several hundred to some ssp's coming in at like 25.

Thanks. I’ll play the waiting game :)

So another Grabner patch card shows up on eBay and boom I’m just continually outbid by a bidder that says ‘private bidder.’ It’s not an expensive or rare card but some insane Grabner collector - or maybe Grabner himself - will just pay any amount to get his cards. It’s only one of two cards I need for the set. Like come on [emoji2959]

Does anyone know if there are any crazy Grabner collectors out there? Ugh [emoji30]
