In case anyone else was watching today's Kakko Canvas YG auction that just ended, the seller jcatt44 just cancelled my win because he didn't like what it ended at. bad business practices.

final price was actually $53 and change USD, probably because he was charging a full $16 CAN on shipping to the states. Guy said it was "stolen by an employee," which is laughable considering he cancelled within 2 mins of the auction end. I'll be watching to see if he reposts, that's for sure.

If you haven't already you should drill this cheese-eater in the member FB section.
I don't have a problem with the tracked shipping charge of $16 CDN- Canada post is $14 and change- then throw in supplies, time, gas etc. to ship it out. Not unreasonable.
Cancelling with the bogus excuse is weak. No honour whatsoever....

Well, this PBM is already kicked, but yeah, I didn't believe him for one second. He cancelled the sale literally less than 2 minutes after it ended. He was clearly watching it count down, and you don't do that, especially on a new release where prices can fluctuate greatly, if the card was already stolen. Sheesh, if he has just been honest with me, I would have been just as PO'ed as a originally was, but could have at least seen some class in the truth.

Exhibit A (M. Tkachuk), B (B.Tkachuk), C (Hischier) and more... historically show $15-20USD is a typical landing spot for a vast majority of VERY good rookies.

cross examination: m'boy Jack Eichel. still a $40-50 card, and as much as I love the kid, he hasn't quite become Patrick Kane just yet.

also, just a cursory search of "hischier canvas young guns" sold items on eBay has them all over $20, and the one that wasn't (and wasn't a CL) finished at $19.63 USD. have no clue what they started at, no interest in the guy.

fair enough, all good points... he was just the first name that popped into my head since I'm a Rangers fan who PC's Eichel, and they were both #2 overall. i guess the similarities end there, but I'm thinking at the top of their games, both them will be a point per game scorer, but hopefully Jack will deliver a 100 point season soon!
