View Full Version : Lamar Jackson price trends
I'm new to this and was wondering if any veteran collectors had any opinions regarding the Lamar Jackson market. I tried to buy a Flawless patch auto yesterday but was out bid. It went for $1000. I'm amazed that a card like that is less than some of the limited edition refractors and what not. I guess I'm just partial to Flawless cards.
I think prices may come down over the next couple weeks as investors process that Mahomes is probably going to Baltimore for the AFC Championship game and it's going to be hard to pick against Mahomes.

At first this seemed like an LJ shill thread. Until the final statement where you simultaneously reverse engineered a dump/mahomes pump.
In either event, welcome back.
I took out the Ebay link. Was legit looking for advice. There are a million of these signature cards. It's difficult to know what to buy

If I was factoring in the Ravens performance in the playoffs with the pricing of Lamar's cards I would assume they are going to the Super Bowl and likely winning.
It sure seemed like that was a good chance a week ago. Now KC gets a bye and I’m realizing how tough they are.
Even so Lamar is only a fraction of Mahomes. If Baltimore does go to the super bowl there’s room to run. Jackson would be the youngest MVP of I'm not mistaken and he plays for a better game manager and organization. He’s set up these next few years to contend.

I think Baltimore beats KC handily at home in the AFC championship game. And I own a lot of Mahomes and no Lamar. I just think Baltimore is a more complete team.

I own both Mahomes and Lamar and consider both good long term investments, although Lamar obviously has a higher injury risk due to his playing (running) style.
Also have a few up for sale now, including a Lamar Gold Flawless /25 Auto. Trying to get $850 on eBay for it (card has a minor surface flaw, or would be asking for more $$!).

Holy cats! Just sold the damn card when I was posting! (should have asked for more $$)
That was a nice one. I love Flawless cards.
I think you got good value. It could run higher but also prices could come down as they've run up so far.

Lamar Jackson is the best QB in football and far advanced anyone else on the field athletically. People still pounding their fists that he’s injury prone meanwhile countless QB’s in the league have fallen to injury every week. LJ is a phenom that the league has never seen before. He will most certainly win more Super Bowls than anyone else over the next decade you can bet on that.

This gets posted every single year about the newest phenom that just entered the league and why he's so much different than the rest. Never fails. Someone will be right sooner or later I guess lol

I forget did KC beat the ravens this year, without one of the best WR in the Nfl?

100 percent agree. Lamar is vastly underrated. Mahomes is more arm, while Lamar is more speed. I saw both the Ravens and Chiefs beat my Patriots this year, and the Ravens were the most impressive team.

If KC does play BAL and the wagering line is juicy enough, which I think it will be, I might drive to Las Vegas JUST to to put money on BAL.
Tangent: Clemson +5.5 looks like free money.
