Forget scalpers. I know many in the older generation who still don’t do smart phones or electronic anything. Loses part of the fan base doing this.

Sounds good to me.

If they want to go bad enough they will find a way. You have to adapt and change with the times or get left behind.

It will still be fine for scalpers. The SB is caterered to scalping.

That’s pretty much the entire point of the article - the NFL want to capture that consumer surplus, instead of leaving it for the scalpers.

This is just to keep the overlords in power. Grind out as many $$ as you can from the little guy.

Which is what everyone said locally 2 years ago when the Browns got rid of paper tickets... people figured it out

The little guy hasn’t been able to go to the Super Bowl for a long time.

I don’t understand why Broncos pulled people’s season tickets for selling on the official team approved ticket platform.

If they do Digital tickets they better have something like that commemorative stub because stubs are a huge reason people go

So it suggests that when an account holder sells tix to a game, they are being monitored to determine if its a one time thing or if the holder is selling consistantly for a profit.
If the ladder is determined, the team revokes the account. In this example anyway..

Beyond that, i love all my ticket stubs and treat them like sports cards. They represent memories to me, and i hope the Pats specifically dont decide to do this 100% of the time.

This past season, we had an option of going all electronic, but myself and my friends who come decided to pay the extra 35.00 fee to have the standard ticket booklets printed.
I can support that, but I wont be pleased to have them go all electronic.

Most teams have gone all-electronic and yes, several of them have pulled my season ticket membership for too much reselling. When that happens I just grin and bear it because I no longer rely on scalping to generate my income like I did when I was in school, plus the margins are so small these days that it really doesn't matter. Some teams were actually doing me a favor by yanking my season tickets <looks sideways at Tampa Bay>. It is worth noting, however, that the teams where I have PSLs cannot pull my tickets. The price of the PSL gives me the freedom to do whatever I want with the tickets.

The evolution has gone from electronic tickets you can print out to, for some teams, exclusively mobile entry.

The chiefs have been mobile ticket entry only for last few seasons. It's actually pretty easy to transfer to people so I like that part of it. Sucks because you don't have the stub for nostalgia
