I was watching to see if this 1/1 NT laundry tag would flame out. It was at $25,700 after Ravens loss Saturday and now last night at auction end blew up. Proof that high-end investors are convinced that LJ is the real deal without hesitation. Auction ended at a whopping $50,101.00

Apparently people have something to gain by posting about the extremely shilled Probstein 1/1 NT tag...

You're going to use a shilled probstein auction as your proof?

Well it’s a Probstein auction so that means it’s likely shilled. I wouldn’t take one Probstein auction to make a point as it’s probably an outlier.

Does anyone here have proof this auction was shilled and not actually won by a legitimate buyer? Please advise.

This is nothing against Lamar and his cards. Top two bidders with feedback score of less than 10:rolleyes: Very likely shilled. Wait until it gets relisted.

Fake news............
This is really a tough example to gauge the barometer on where his card prices are trending.

At this point in the year, SB champ is always built into the hype for young guys since it's so hard to win a SB. Losses always bring hype down a bit. Not overreacting, just how it works.

Money flows from one hot player to the next and one sport to other. People who made nice profits on Lamar are going to take profits and move it into whoever is currently hot instead of waiting until next season. It is inevitable in a hobby with lots of flippers as opposed to long term investors. That is the nature of this hobby and hence the reason for wide swings in prices in a matter of days to weeks. Don't fall in love with your cards, no matter how sexy it is unless you do not mind losing money on it! The only relative safe bets are Lebron, Jordan, Brady, Vintage (Ruth, Mantle etc). Everything else is speculation and there is no such thing as a sound logic in speculation because its like a coin toss and could go either way due to inherent risks!

Or maybe it would’ve sold for 70K if the Ravens won..... we’ll never know
