Panini Eminence Silver Bar Cards Question

I made a recent purchase of a 2014 Eminence Silver auto card. It came in today and the bar is rusting. Is this a common issue or did I buy a shotty card? I think its rust or its turning reddish orange around the edge.

Nope that’s perfectly normal. Metals react to oxygen and any other element which have side effects, and this is called “toning”. In the coin and precious metals collecting world, it’s a sin to polish off years or decades of toning to make the silver shiny again.

Just like how the statue liberty was made of bronze and then it only took 40ish years for her to turn full green.
