When selling High end on eBay, I usually ask if they want signature confirmation before shipping. Most respond with what they want.

If no response do you ship with or without?

If its over 750.00 then it is required otherwise DC gives you the same protection. There have been cases where buyers get mad over SC because they have to make a special trip to the PO. Friend of mine had a buyer refuse to pick up the item and negged him for it and filed a not received claim when the item was returned to the seller. Ebay would have allowed the neg to stand had the buyer gone and gotten it.

It’s just under $750. I’m thinking of sending another message because of ridiculous stories like this

I would ship however you feel comfortable all that is for YOUR protection not the buyers. Who cares if they leave a neg and it stands. Being afraid of getting a neg is what enables many scammers to get away with their crap. Negs do not hurt sellers.

I am in a position where the PO that services my address is over 30 miles away one way so any signature confirmation items I get would be a nuisance for me. I would not neg them but I would not be happy about it either but again its for the sellers protection not the buyers.
