I purchased a case from Blowout at around $775 or something near that and noticed the following day it increased to $850. Do you think the price will continue to increase before release date? And why is it that it jumped so quick?

My second question is, what do you think of Heritage this year judging from sell sheets, checklists, photos and other stuff? From that, do you think that it will do good this year? Better than last year (which was a flop unless you got a "big" hit in your case)? The auto checklist looks sort of weak with some big names but MANY more uncommons. What do you think of this coin thing?

But anyway I want your opinions because I know in order to break even or profit you need to buy multiple cases so thinking of possibly buying another case unless its best to wait and see if price goes down before release date. Or should I lock in before it jumps again>

I don't really know about the price because it seems like everyday someone is posting about the price of a product being low one day and then jumping pretty high the next. It seems like a lot of products build up towards release, level off for a little bit and then steadily decline so I really don't know.

As far as auto checklists go, I believe you have a chance to pull a Hank Aaron auto or Sandy Koufax auto which I think the chance is worth alone. It remains to be seen though if topp's will over produce their autos and bring their value down but maybe this could be driving up the price initially? As for some of the other stuff the "mint" cards with coins or the stamp cards don't really do much for me, but I think that is because primarily collect autos because regardless they seem to have the best resale value regardless.

Heritage is a tough case to break even or make money on. With only 1 hit a box and most of these are $1-$2 relics. Most cases in the last couple of years have yielded 2-3 autos.

I believe the sell sheet this year states that you get 1 auto + 1 relic per box.

At the bottom of Page 3 it says 1 auto + 1 relic per box but it also says 1 auto or relic per box at the top.

Gotcha, but it's crazy that everywhere else on that page it states 1 auto or 1 relic. Hope it's right because I usually break a couple of boxes.

If it is 1 auto or 1 relic per box I would probably stay far away from this stuff as it seems like it would be hard to turn any profit what so ever unless you were to hit an Aaron or Koufax auto. On the other hand if it is 1 auto AND 1 relic per box, that is a much different story.

Heritage has a large set builder following. With lots of sp and ssp's you can get some of your money back but unless you hit a nice auto, I don't see it possible to make money. I've seen many circumstances where not one set was completed from a case because there is so many sp's.

I busted a case last year:

NO autos
NO complete set
NO SSPs
Just a bunch of chewing gum NOBODY wanted--especially the kids!

Will not be busting any this year. I'd rather buy a Hank Aaron auto off ebay.:)!

Heritage is for collectors not the pump and dump crowd thought the autos and some relics can bring some nice $$ back and make the cost of a master set much lower for the breaker/collector.

This is not for the "OMG sweet, stick, mojo superfractor" club

I love Heritage. I completed last year's base set, and don't need that many inserts (not going for the GU/auto sets). I was a little disappointed that they didn't do high #s, but, hey, it saved me a bit of $.

I have some cash already set aside for 3-4 boxes.

Props to jlzinck for apparently coining "pump and dump crowd" LOL! I love Heritage and everything it represents - was fortunate to get in early and buy low, but I don't really break this to make a profit - if I get 33-50% return on the initial outlay, then that's a discount on my hobby.
