Brett Jackson/Ryne Sandberg 2009 Tristar AUTO TRUE 1/1 - eBay (item 230580256287 end time Mar-01-11 14:12:34 PST) (http://cgi.ebay.com/Brett-Jackson-Ryne-Sandberg-2009-Tristar-AUTO-TRUE-1-1-/230580256287?pt=US_Baseball&hash=item35afa77e1f)
If those autos are'nt real, he really messed up this card. But can't you have them sign base? Or baseballs? Why bring a 1/1 to a game, first of all?

Because people are always trying to make an extra buck. Auto's could certainly be real but I don't go anywhere near IP stuff unless I got it myself (of which I have a few things).

Because it's tristar, and not a huge deal. Would of been better with blue sharpie and not bubbling..

I know the seller, as do a lot of the folks here that have been around for a while. The autos are probably real.
He has a LOT of items signed by Jackson -- and probably just as many pics of him with the Cubs prospect. Rob was a big Jackson fan as soon as he got drafted.
Also, as someone who has a handful of autographed Sandberg memorabilia, that sig lines up pretty well with most of my 'non-card' autos.

Well I'm not really questioning if the autos are real or not, but why you'd do this to a 1/1? Ik I wouldn't. I'd bring a baseball or base card for them to sign. But not a 1/1

Hell, with what printing plates are worth, I think that makes them better auto material than regular cards!

I know that seller ( not personally but have dealt with him) i don't think that is a big deal at all. Not that big of a 1/1, whats horrible is ruining an AP auto 1/1 with 3 patches by putting a inscription on it (most people should know which card i am talking about)

I am good friends with him also, and he has the best Brett Jackson collection, so why not add to a 1/1 and get it auto'd?

First off, I know Rob very well and there is no question in my mind at all that the sigs are authentic.
But to the point of the card being 1/1....so what? You're seriously questioning having a 1/1 insert card autographed? A big problem in this hobby is that people equate serial numbering with value and that's just dumb. Subscribing to that logic just confirms what the card companies already know...that collectors fall victim to their ridiculous tricks at adding value to obscure cards.

Hey buddy, don't get so worked up. I asked a question the fellow members on here... All I know is I wouldn't want my 1/1 autographed IP. Sorry if I offended you...?

1/1 cards fall under the supply/demand category. For set builders, there is only one, so it does add value.

Getting a 1/1 autographed doesn't take away from the fact that it's still a 1/1. The only difference is that now it's autographed, and "on-card" to boot. :)!

Fun fact this great seller was caught shilling his auctions over at fcb, and then he was tossed from being a mod.
The autographs are both real. :)!

Span did a nice job signing the plate. I really like it. Let me know if you ever need to move it.
As for signing the 1/1, I think the autos are probably real but they don't make the card look any better. Should have used a different marker.

I agree, if it was a PC card, I wouldn't mind it being auto'd if I was the one who got it IP. However, I was responding to wether or not 1/1's should carry higher values, which they should because regardless of autos/gu there is still only 1. Supply/demand takes over.

I really dont understand why plates are not more popular/expensive?? I mean damn they are what made everyone's cards.. 1/1 card was just made but the plates had a purpose... i dunno... when i pulled my 2010 Finest Todd Helton plate i was ecstatic.
