I've been using HobbyDisplay for awhile and it has been fantastic, but Photobucket screwed everyone over and most of my pics don't show anymore. HobbyDisplay started offering image hosting services, and I was thinking about going with it, but hosting for one collection/database is capped at 3,500 so I've been thinking about transitioning over to my own hosting service for all my photos (100k+ so far...ug).

Does anyone have any suggestions????

Someone told me about HobbyDisplay a while back. But i found it much to clunky. For me the Imgur for storage and Instagram for showing off and interacting is the best combo out there. If i was going to do a database i'd use an offline solution to do that - but it's not really a necessity for me.

Just pay $6 a month for Flickr and be done with trying out the janky platforms for hosting. It's worth it.

I've enjoyed instagram because it enables interaction

I just use the free version of booger flickr. Does everything i need it to do. Im not a professional photographer either though, and i don't have thousands of pics.

It's worth it just for automatic picture backups from your phone, not to mention how easy it is for card pic hosting.

I'd really like to encourage you to check out this less than two minute video I created that shows how image hosting works on HobbyDisplay. This is a pretty recent development!

Besides image hosting for the same price other platforms are charging, you can also can display your collection online on the platform!
