He's quietly been having a nice little run lately!

I'd love to know what you all think about his future etc.

That’s what Wiggy said.

Hope he has a huge hobby impact.....but I doubt it. Have hit a lot of his stuff this year.

What makes you think that?

With Curry and Klay Thompson coming back next year and Wiggins been there next year at full strength, it will be tough for him to surface and have an impact in the hobby... however, he does the same work that Draymond Green does so in basketball sense he's very well rounded.

recent history.

it is very difficult for a player not in the top three (and three is stretching it) to achieve true hobby stardom

Reminds me of Draymond Green a bit hobby wise. 2nd rounder who wasn't really hyped. He has definitely outperformed any expectations. And also with Curry coming back next season, he could benefit from that.

Nothing exciting in his game to warrant any hobby interest.

Go Warriors!

Hey, Josh! My personal advice to you is to go with your own gut feeling when analyzing a new player. Sometimes, you never know when a player will be amazing. If you enjoy watching a player and have a small feeling he might be a star, that would be the best time to pick up his cards at an affordable price!

When Mike Trout first started in the MLB, a lot of people were saying the same thing.. and I don’t blame them. These were Mike Trout’s rookie year stats (40 games):

.220 BA / .281 OBP / 5 HR / 4 SB / 20 R / 16 RBI

But I’m sure there were some believers that picked up all of his rookie cards at a very cheap price. Now Mike Trout is the face of the MLB.

I’m not saying Paschall will be the next Trout of the NBA, but sometimes you never know? ;)

I recall he had a big price surge back at the beginning of the season when he had that monster game. Maybe he will get another price bump next season once the Warriors are contenders again.

Being Hobby good will be tough, deck is stacked against him.

1. He plays the 4 spot
2. Not only does he play the 4 he’s undersized and not overly explosive
3. He’s 23 as a rookie not 19 or 20
4. He’s 5th at best in the hobby peaking order on his own team. Even if he was able to leap frog draymond and wiggins (hard to do because a lot of people have sunken cost into him a won’t give up on him). His touches will drop big time when the big dawgs are back. Does mean he can’t be a good player though

Got a decent amount of his stuff earlier in the year. Didn't pay at the peak of his surge but I paid more than what the market value is at now. I like him as a player so hope he can carve out a role for himself, even if he doesn't become a big time guy in the hobby.

Anything exciting about the way Tim Duncan played?

There's no unwritten rule that you have to be a top 3 player in any sport to realize price gains. Else it would be a very bland hobby.

That said, Codered summed it up best.

The time to sell (not buy) is now, while the core of the Golden Girls are sidelined. Come next year, Eric will be relegated to full time bench duties.

You're either banking on

- Draymond being traded (I'm not sure of the particulars of his contract)
- Dray being injured
- Based Paschall having a massive game off the bench and re-kindling those January vibes

Buy him dirt cheap in the offseason and pray? Perhaps. Not my cup of tea, but I don't think he's expensive enough to where it would break the bank speculating. He's just not a dude I'd personally be speculating on.

I think he's a slightly better outside shooter than Draymond, although he's struggled this year and Dray has had the benefit of being freed up outside while playing with KD, Steph, and Klay. Could see him get up into the high 30's from 3 maybe. Not an explosive player. Not a great defender. Definitely can score, as he's proven as of late, but how many touches can you really expect him to get next year. Best option for him, IMO, is to get traded to a small market team and hopefully he can be a number 2 option. The age thing is definitely true too... the younger guys have a lot more upside from just learning the game.

My wild pick out of this draft is Brandon Clarke... also has the age issue against him but I think he will blossom into a semistar with the Grizzlies and could potentially be greater if the right situation unfolds during his career. Also, think that Bol Bol is a really interesting risk/reward option. The other two Pelicans first round picks could be decent too, if they stay together and win a few championships down the road. Crazy to me to think that three years ago Jaxson Hayes averaged 2 points a game on his high school team. Has improved so much and although I doubt he becomes a top 5 player or anything like that, I think he could really surprise people if he continues to improve.
