Why is the Prizm Red White Blue market so low?

I've been looking at both trae and luka psa 10 rookies and the red white and blues are selling for the same and if not lower prices as the base psa 10s despite having about 1/6 of the population.

i actually like them alot.
they are some of the most underpriced cards to me. sometimes they sell for just a few dollars more then the standard base rc which is laughable.

I like them cause they are low. I keep my collection cheap.

I think a combination of things:

Consistency: There is none, so it's hard to get people to form collections of them year over year. 2015 was bright and had the "waves", 2016 didn't have RWB (I think), 2017 was dark and was just red/blue with no white, 2018 was barber shop (yuck), 2019 is my favorite so far, looks a lot cleaner and is basically a combination of the red /299's on top and blue /199's on bottom.

Rarity / Availability (or perceived): Cellos are generally pretty easy to attain, which makes them seem like they are too "common" and therefore won't hold value like things that are more rare. Analysis I saw last year of print run held RWB equal with Green, and about 20% higher than Pink/Red Ice.

Aesthetics: As I mentioned above, the design changes every year and they can't seem to find something that resonates with everyone and will stick. I do like the design this year and hope that they keep it consistent with that going forward and maybe we'll see these gain traction down the line

If this was a pump on some RWBs you have up for sale, good job. I'm sure most of us that read this thread searched "Zion prizm RWB" after reading.

In general, prizm seems to be down since some of the topps products have come out, especially Topps chrome. I guess this is really not surprising, people want the newest products and of course are so happy that Topps is a licensed product again. And it is surely the case that part of Prizm's popularity was because it's competition (other Panini products) was weak.

Try looking at the recent sales of early Prizm Golds and Silvers. You'll come away with a different perspective.

It's a polarising colour scheme. Really hit and miss.
Topps' version in Chrome this year doesn't look much bettter.

Only time it works for me is when it team colour. Pats, Giants, Bills, Clippers, 76ers, Wizards and Pistons to name a few.
